What cheeses me off

What can I say. It works! Husband couldn't work out why I was watching youtube while doing my most hated task. @VPS - my timer ran out. I'll do better next time. 🫢
You should try my method and see if it's quicker

WCMO is a family, loaded to the gills with cough, boards at the back of the plane and make their way forward to their seats in row 6, against everyone else in the aisle.
Another one this afternoon's flight! Rear stairs, push though up to seat 5F

Had an Everyday Rewards promotion to switch to Origin Energy by 30th June and earn 25000 bonus points for electricity and $150 credit.

I sent Origin Energy email on 22/06/23 and received reply today, 11 days later, which is 3 days after the promotion ended.

They also asked for ID, account number etc. I clearly stated that I'm not a customer and want to confirm the rates post 01/07/23.

The response looks like it came from USA? Why is it so difficult to keep jobs in Australia? Forget this dumb idea of a global economy.

With another email? No I didn't. I'd given up when they could not be bothered to reply within 24 hours as it states on their website. I'm actually surprised they bothered to reply 11 days later without reading my request.

Why oh why do businesses think it's OK to do away with customer service? A simple phone call would have answered my question.

But you didn't call them?

What cheeses me of is that Hospital waiting rooms ( and some doctors surgeries) try to make you sit in front of mindless afternoon TV shows while you ( endlessly) wait for them. Why not force people to watch something educational?

Actually what cheeses me of more is that they wanted me to sign a doc which contained untruths - suspiciously, the cost 'estimate' for the health fund that I had to sign included $1800 for a 'prosthesis' that I is never going to be part of today's proceedure. When they looked into the item number there are many bits and pieces that could be included. What this one, I wonder. There was something else, more trivial, which simply wasn't true.

" Don't worry, it's just an estimate....".

I annotated the bottom saying that no prosthesis had been discussed.

my pet hate - mindless TV programs on very loud in waiting rooms.

I spend a fair bit of time in hospital waiting rooms and agree. I try and blank it out and read a book but sometimes it is not possible. It is usually either a free to air channel - loud - of course with multiple adverts.

Or people talking very loudly on their phones. You can't escape the waiting room. Last week the woman was obviously having issues with a builder and was having a ding dong battle. The room was small. The TV going. And her yelling. I wasn't worried about my appointment but if you had a nasty health issue, that won't help the Blood pressure when it's measured.

Ask them to put the video of your last colonoscopy on the screen? :) :)

Heh, Rooflyer's pix looks just like a basic airport lounge somewhere, just need some drinks on a side table!
My doc's surgery only has mindless radio, no tv.
Basic as...
