Them thar volcanic hills. So I had a suitable desert at lunch.

Oh my - I just a toasted ham and cheese sandwich and am feeling extremely envious (pleased for you guys and all that BUT)

i think you mean Croque Monsieur ;)

You see I was salivating so much I couldn't even speak English - I did mean to say I just had a toasted ham and cheese sandwich or a Croque Monsieur ;)

Can I add the awesomeness of the Delta dessert trolley?

Chocolate brownie and cherry or vanilla ice cream with choice of 4 toppings, including crushed cookies.

I stayed awake on a red eye just for this and it was worth it.

This was our dinner at the Pura Vida Hotel in Alajuela (4 kms from SJO Airport) made by Nhi who is a culinary genius.

Eggplant for entree

Tilapia fish curry infused with lemongrass

Dessert was a fabulous lemon concoction with lemon granita & homemade crystallised ginger

We are just back from 8 days in Kl. We were taken to a Macanese restaurant - specialising in food from Macao. A lot of it, fairly obviously, had Portuguese derivations.

This was Apricot Chicken

Hilton lax lounge offering is bbq pork and lobster stuffed potato skins and they are really, really good!

Sad I'm leaving to go out for dinner... Wonder if they would bring the left over pork to our room.
