We had my brothers and a cousin over for a lunch for the first time since the present problems began.

We asked our D.I.L to make up another fruit platter. Apart from the Pandan Cakes and Pandan Crepes the fruit this time was Rambutan, Lychee, Pineapple, Mango, Coconut and Dragon Fruit.

My wife made Gado Gado, Fried Rice, Char Siu Chicken and Satay Beef. The others bought the cakes, Chocolate Caramel & Apple and Sour Cream, the cheese platter and Chocolates.

Anybody got any suggestions for a good stock that isn't full of salt and additives. I know I could make my own but don't have any freezer space

Forgot to take pics but yesterday was 9hr slow cooked beef short ribs in a hickory brown sugar sauce with cauliflower mash. It was a winner!

Today is slow cooker pea & ham soup.

I did pork belly in the slow cooker for Udon noodle soup. Miss just had the meat and noodles without the liquid and loved it.

I saw a recipe for an asian veggie bbq pork soup in broth that I thought looked super yummy!

I do like the light broth soups - well I have to, I have 2.5kgs of chorizos to get though and chorizo bean soup is going to be made again :)
