Where will you be on NYE?

We had this problem last year. I planned the event from about July and picked up things as time went on for it... when I stopped and tallied everything up we could have gone to HNL so this year is low key, next year either an event or overseas but I'm not spending that cash on staying home again.

Yep - we need to be more selfish - playing host is not that enjoyable either

Yeah, I was super busy, couldn't relax and unlike most on here half of the guests were friends of friends and people I have never met and indeed didn't have time to meet.
15 of my family members, 2 of my partners family members, 5 friends of mine, yet 45 people were my guests hmmm

A quiet night for me. Might catch up with some DVDs I have yet to watch and then stand on the footpath and watch all the illegal fireworks! :D

In ADL visiting the parents atm, I imagine we will buy a bottle of something nice and have a picnic for dinner.

The highlight of the evening will be the children going to bed without hassle...

At our friends house at Helensvale.

Unfortunately was going to head out in his boat on the River to catch some whiting but he's done his back - at the Chiro now.

Had to settle for this trio:

Decanted my last 1998 Esk Valley "The Terraces" Malbec Merlot Cab Franc. having it with freshly baked bread and a BBQ lunch.

Already well into the Champagne :D.

Will be in Taipei watching the fireworks off the 101 building. An rather chilly 10 degrees today (well, for Taiwan in December anyway) but should still be a good night, a few Taiwan Beers to keep warm ;)

No plans at all here but currently sitting at mt Martha beach enjoying fish n chips, if I get any more comfortable I might just stay here!

Nice day for it ... SHMBO has me heading out to put some shade cloth up ...

Got a last minute call from friends in Canberra. My reputation obviously precedes me.

"You're not doing anything for NYE? You'd better jump on a plane and get down here then!"

So now I'm sitting in the SYD T3 QP awaiting my flight :)

A true AFF'er ewing.

Nothing like a swim in a cold pool and kids trying to drown themselves to get the alcohol out of the system
