I'm at home, having a late dinner ( usual for me) just cracked open a bottle of Billecart-Salmon and currently trying to bribe my two youngest to go to bed now with the promise of staying up until midnight next New Year.
If all goes according to plan that one will be in Times Square ( shhh though I'm keeping that bit quiet )

Starting to think about heading out to New Yeas (Still in Dubai, so GMT+4). It's now 4:15pm, I'll have a shower, head to my hotel bar for a couple of beers (or champers if it's the right price), then jump on the Metro to the Burj Khalifa. I'll watch the fireworks, then join the mad throng of people and try to get back to my hotel at a reasonable hour.

Could have done one of the events at the Palm Jumeria or another hotel, a club, or restaurants but wanted somewhere close to my hotel as taxis will be impossible to get tonight and traffic will be mad.
