What would everyone be doing now if it wasn't for this nightmare?
I would have been in Nouméa again, drinking champagne on the beach of Îlot Canard inbetween snorkelling sorties and watching the sunsets sipping coughtails with friends at the Chateau Royale before dinner at one of many amazing restaurants which cater more to locals than tourists.
On the bright side, I have a new dishwasher instead.
A year without travel is going to pay for a lot of home improvements.
None of them look quite this good, though or be this much fun
.

Day 6 of 35
Sightseeing en route to Erfoud.
This will be a long and rewarding touring day. After breakfast, depart for Erfoud via the montane cedar woods of the middle Atlas Mountains, passing by Ifrane, a charming ski resort. Continue to Erfoud via Errachidia and the lush Ziz Valley. Arrive to your Erfoud hotel in the early evening.

Day 9 of 35
Marrakesh City Tour.
After breakfast, take a morning tour of the city. Visit the Saadian Tombs, dating back to the 16th century, where Saadian royalty found their final resting place. Your tour also includes the Koutoubia Minaret, as well as the beautiful Bahia Palace. Finally, end the tour by walking through the medina, getting a chance to admire all of the different artisans performing their craft before arriving at the Djemaa el Fna Square. Spend the afternoon at leisure. Tonight, attend dinner with horse-drawn carriage ride. Take a ride through the lively streets of Marrakesh and delight in the tastes of typical Moroccan fare while live music and an elegant belly dancing performance cap off the night

😓

Sisters tour - good girl time. We would be in San Francisco with a trip to Las Vegas after the weekend....oh well, we are safe, well and are both employed.....and a little richer as we are getting a full refund from Qantas.

Sydney last weekend for Easter break with my wife and daughter.

And this weekend most likely back in Sydney celebrating Orthodox Easter with my parents.

Don't know when I'll get to chance to see them again. Dad will be 82 next week. And don't know when they'll see their granddaughter again. She's growing up so quickly.

I’d be getting ready for a local wedding today, then packing for a trip to Northlands Glass Centre in Lybster, Scotland for a workshop with Amanda Simmons kiln formed glass amanda simmons vessels. It’s probably going to be rescheduled for late 2021, so just need to get the airfare $ actually refunded as opposed to current empty promises of refund...

Due to be flying to Paris on Wednesday, the HKG to CDG leg was going to be on Cathay first. Coming back to Sydney from Milan was going to be Etihad apartments. Both new to me, and both on redemption, oh well, maybe next year.

I have missed out on celebrating Khmer new year with friends in Battambang and Phnom Penh. On the upside, I acknowledge Skyscanner for a full cash refund of cancelled flights and Air Asia for a full credit for similar.

The reminder just went off on my scheduler that I need to be at Casablanca Airport in the next 2 hours or I'll miss my flight to Cairo 😭 Had all the day after arrival in Cairo planned to be sauna, massage, and drinks before my cruise on the Nile the day after. 😥

Getting rather excited as I was about to do a status run to Auckland just as a turnaround trip. I hadn't (haven't) done one of those.
Was quite looking forward to that for tomorrow . Fly over and fly back six hours later

Today I am supposed to be taking my own amateurish shots of this

Day 19 of 35
Edfu Temples, Cruise to Luxor
Visit the stunning Temples of Horus in Edfu, considered one of the best preserved of all the Egyptian Temples. It was built during the Ptolemaic times and was completed over a 180-year period. The temple is dedicated to the falcon god Horus, son of Isis and Osiris. Its extravagant design and sheer size is an indication of the country's prosperity at the time. Return to the ship for dinner, and continue sailing onward this evening.

@p and t - I can send you my photos from that location, but you may want to hit me for doing so...😂😂😂😂
Note my avitar.

I was working in Cairo last year and then got stuck there when BA cancelled flights for a week, so I too, have some photos after forced tourism I could share too 🤭
