What would everyone be doing now if it wasn't for this nightmare?
I would have been in Nouméa again, drinking champagne on the beach of Îlot Canard inbetween snorkelling sorties and watching the sunsets sipping coughtails with friends at the Chateau Royale before dinner at one of many amazing restaurants which cater more to locals than tourists.
On the bright side, I have a new dishwasher instead.
A year without travel is going to pay for a lot of home improvements.
None of them look quite this good, though or be this much fun
.

This was the “The Beginning” last year. Yes, all 13 plates. Then they moved to the rest of the food.

PreDessert.

I want to wow and sad that post. I'm sure Mrs TMA will come up with a wonderful alternative. ;)
Not a problem! We’ve been there three times (every fifth significant birthday...) and “l’m” doing Dehlia Smith‘s Fillet di bouef en croute” and MrsTMA is doing B&B pudding bases on Panettone while our one guest is doing entrée.

With several bottles of oldest wine from wine fridge.

Don’t be sad. “Read it and weep”. Covid19 is in the air tonight.

Today we flew SIN-NRT on JAL.Enjoyed a nice Japanese meal and now holed up in the CP Narita.
Unusual weather.Snowing.

So today we left Ushiku after visting a peony garden and the world's largest buddha.
Then drove to Sano and tonight visited the Ashikaga flower park for the illuminated wisteria show.

Day 29 of 35

Today, after enjoying a sumptuous breakfast, you will spend the entire day at leisure at the Dead Sea Marriott Resort and Spa

😔

Today was a pleasant drive from Sano to Kawaguchiko And checked in to the hotel Regina for the next 4 nights with views to Mt.Fuji.
Unfortunately today was overcast and the next 2 days are forecast to rain.however the last full day is forecast to be a beautiful sunny day so will have perfect views of Fuji.

First day at the hotel Regina.Overcast but a couple of glimpses of Fuji-san.
Seeing the weather forecast was for showers with snow on Fuji-san we went to the Maglev Exhibition centre.Unfortunately no test runs during May.

Off to Gatwick today to pickup the car and drive to Wales, staying just north of Cardiff on the border of the Brecon Beacons national park. Our early May Bank Holiday has been moved to Friday May 8th this year (normally it's a Monday) to line up with VE day. With the folks being here, visiting from PER we were due to spend the long weekend doing some hiking as well as Mother Flashback exploring the area where her father grew up.

Sadly I got the reminder this morning to check in for my flight tonight from Amman to Melbourne (via DXB). 😔

Day 34 of 35
A day of leisure to wander the city streets of Amman, sample & graze the various local delicacies and fit in the one last visit to a hammam for a soak scrub and massage before your overnight flight.

Strange I don't feel at all tired after this action packed whirlwind 5 weeks tour of three exotic countries 🙄

We awoke today to bright sunshine.Typical the best weather on the day you leave Fuji-san.We started by driving up the mountain as far as we could go.then drove around Fuji-san through Hakone on the way to stay at the recently opened IC Yokohama Pier 8.Had been able to book using my pay 1 get 1 free Ambassador weekend rate.Great saving.
