Woolworths gift card thread

UPDATE

Under the recent TCN promotion for 20x points, I purchased 1x$500 home, and 2x$50 home cards during the promotion period. Although I only got credited with 2000 everyday rewards points, not 12000 like I expected when looking at my receipt, I received a manual credit for the remaining 10000 points yesterday. However, I didn't need to follow up to get this.

Has anyone actually been able to add his activ prepaid gift card to apple wallet ? I tried and got the message ‘ your card issuer does not support ‘

Does anyone know if the active only one visa travel and online version cards can actually be used everywhere as the terms and conditions state ?

In retail stores yes. Hasn't worked for any online bills such as phone, gas, rates, health insurance etc.

With this current Activ Visa gift card promo, I am encountering resistance from the cashiers.
They want to keep it below $1000. They all want to do it as separate transactions, and won't budge even after I explained the promo only applies to one transaction per day.
Annoying.

Same. I show them the catalogue and when they still refuse I tell them to get the manager.

I tried to make a donation to a charity using Active Online but it wasn't accepted. I was able to pay rates though.

I tried to purchase 4 Active cards in one transaction but the cashier said that the machine didn't like it. So we decided to do 2 x 2 transactions which, of course, resulted in the second transaction being refused.

I have always managed to use self service checkout and split the payments . I’m in Melbourne .
I always thought self service couldn't be used for gift cards as they need activation. Does activation happen automatically?

I managed to use shopping activ at agl, nrma ctp,hcf and NSW rego. Had some rejections day of purchase but all above fine after 24h

I’ve noticed with the Activ, when I check the balance, that the transactions figures don’t reconcile properly. They appear to be withdrawing more than I am spending. Has anyone else checked their transactions?

Thanks for the tip. I tried again today and these do now appear to work for bill payments. Seems you need to wait for 24 hours for this to become available.

Good to know. So other than canberra (who I don't need to pay in the short term), no other issues using these online? If so I'll swing by and grab some tonight before the promo finishes
