Hmmm I'm fairy sure that my photo was from QF121 on March 14th 2015 (that photo is in my New Zealand album). I wonder why you got lunch and I got breaky?

Daylight saving ends in April so that's possibly the reason? Not sure. I'm not doubting you, just thought it was strange as I definitely got lunch on that flight.
Interestingly it is showing as a "breakfast" flight again now.
My upcoming flight in November is a breakfast flight. Was considering putting in an upgrade request but think I'll save the points now.Interestingly it is showing as a "breakfast" flight again now.
I was served lunch on QF121 SYD-ZQN in Y (~9.30am departure) back in May:

I agree, that meal looks very presentable for Y. I've yet to be disappointed by QF's catering.(off topic)
I have to say for a Y lunch that meal looks fresh and tasty. Is it duck!?
I took one of the T/T sale J fare offers up recently so I'll be headed over to WLG on I think dinner flights and despite it being modest, I'm still looking forward to it!
I don't think so... After all isn't QF still offering all-day check-in at SYD?Are there any "you can't go in the F lounge x hours before your flight" type rules? The flight is at 1755, but I was thinking of doing an afternoon's work in the lounge while leisurely exploring the food & beverage menu. I've never been to the SYD F lounge so looking forward to it!!

The reception staff will note your flight and have always said "You're rather early." and welcomed me in. I was always connecting from a domestic flight that either was overly generous with connection time or later flights would have been a rush, so that was the reason why.(off topic)

The catering in the first 'cupboard' is generally much better than the J lounge ... also they do have Champagne.
TBH, the f&b has improved markedly in the QF lounge sunce 2013 ...
I don't even recall the fridge of ice cream, or maybe I felt guilty about my diet that day![]()
Hmmm ... wonder if an ice-cream 'spider' can be made from Kapati and Champagne ...

I flew trans-Tasman Business class today, on QF126 AKL-BNE. The main impression I took away was that the soft product makes up for a fairly average hard product to make for an enjoyable overall experience.
The CSM Rebecca looked after the full J cabin very well. We were offered a choice of water, juice or champagne before take-off, and the drinks kept coming throughout the flight. Despite the 3.55pm departure, proper champagne was available - so I'm not sure what the "departures after 6pm only" thing is about.
