You know - I reckon at the moment that wouldn’t be a good thing.

Assassination would be a terrible thing, dropping dead while tweeting on the toilet would be a plus.

Although Pence isnt much of a great choice either but thats for the politics thread.

Go to the Woolworths Facebook page, there is a guy quoting the constitution because they called it Devon, not Fritz in SA. Very clever.

Link.

We call it Fritz in SA. I suspect people wouldn’t buy Devon. But fritz is usually sold in large chunks not slices like that.

Being of good Italian stock, I didn't have Devon until I was in my 20s and I really like it. Bought some on the weekend for sambos.

Hubby hates it.

I remember my first trip to tassie and I was asked if I wanted some little boys.

My face must have said it all as they explained it was coughtail franks down there.

I remember years ago when son was maybe 4, I was visiting my parents and my mother said to him that if he ate up his boiled egg, there would be something nice for him. Son looked up and said, "Smoked salmon?" to which mother said no, it was something else, so son suggested pate. In fact mother was referring to a slice of devon. Don't think child had ever had it.

I just can't come to terms with that name. I have friends who call them that though.

I'm Kiwi so Devon is called Luncheon and coughtail Franks are called Cheerios. As a kid you used to be given one free at the butcher - or slices of luncheon.

I always call it Devon but then I'm not an Adeladian. Wouldn't touch the stuff myself but happy to buy Munn the Cat a slice or two.
Come to think of it, Munn prefers leg ham.
