Australian Reports of the Virus Spread

It was a student free day at Westminster on Monday, so that helps limit the amount of people that were on site. It is a boarding house staff member that has tested positive, attended a staff development day on the Monday. There were Year 10 and 11 students at school for and information evening...

Vaccine Rollout in Australia - personal accounts.

Just had my first Pfizer shot at the Noarlunga hub south of Adelaide CBD. Fairly efficient process from check-in, to jab, to observation period. All completed within 40 minutes. For anyone else in Adelaide looking at booking an appointment, every time I have checked the mass hubs Noarlunga has...

    No Qantas flight change notification

I recently flew ADL-DRW-ADL and both the inbound (1hr later) and outbound (2hrs earlier) flights were changed after booking, assume due to assignment of operation of the route to Alliance, and I did not receive any notification of either change. I was travelling with 2 other people who were both...

Dan Murphy's and Other Wine Deals

I agree with this. As far as I can tell you are in SA. I would recommend checking out some of the Ed Cellars in Mitcham tastings. The staff in their bottleshop are super friendly and helpful and will definitely guide you in making some purchases to start dabble in other wine regions.

Dan Murphy's and Other Wine Deals

That's good buying! I picked up some 2010 Dom for $175 through a mate who buys WET exempt and thought that was good. Have had 1 bottle of it so far and it was drinking well.

Nice wines I have drunk recently - Red or White

Agree with your views on it and quite enjoyed it. I took it along to a Duck and Pinot night and it was very well received by all.

Nice wines I have drunk recently - Red or White

Shared these for a quiet retirement dinner for my old man. Served him the 707 blind and he guessed it as an 06. Still got a bit in the tank but I thought it was drinking close to prime, decanted for about 4 hours before first glass and had last glass of it after around 8 hours and it had evolved...

Nice wines I have drunk recently - Red or White

Really nice. Very well made, noticeably low dosage, crisp wine. Having said that, my only recent reference point at the RRP ($280) is a 2010 Dom and I think that is the much better choice. Not that i want to pay that much for either!

Nice wines I have drunk recently - Red or White

Wine night at Ying Chow Adelaide - $5 per person corkage. It is nice to have generous friends with good wine collections. The 75 Leo Buring stood exceptionally well!

Travel Bank Fare vs Revenue Fare

Ok, thanks for that - makes more sense. When I did the same search ADL-BNK there was no difference in pricing when I had selected use FFC vs not which is what threw me on this search. 1610879916 Great insight, thanks very much!

Travel Bank Fare vs Revenue Fare

Has anyone noticed any price discrepancies when searching revenue fares and then searching using travel bank credit? If so, have you had any luck calling up and having them honour revenue fare with travel bank credit? Cheers

    The BYO Wine Restaurant Thread

We were charged $5 a head at Ying Chow for 6 people when we took the attached. Yes, Ying Chow is pretty basic but the food is solid.

Krisflyer miles refunds - Taking forever! Anyone else with this problem?

Received notice of flight cancellation on 28th of July (points booking), i submitted the refund request on 29th of July and points and taxes all refunded by 3rd August. Flights scheduled for 31st August, not sure whether proximity of departure date helps with time for refund to come back.

    Wendouree allocations and general discussion

Red crayon SA here. Last year i returned form the day after receiving (3 July) and was not charged until 4 August. Received order in full, 6 Shiraz, 6 Pressings, 3 CM, 3 SMat, 3 SMalb, 3 Malbec. I wouldn't be worrying too much about missing out for a little while yet

    Wendouree allocations and general discussion

6 bottle limit on all wines this year. I guess this is reflective of some of the posts up thread re 2018 yields.

Virgin Australia Financially Secure? [Now in Voluntary Administration]

I did think similar at the time, but when you're seeking to raise circa $2bn in equity with our continuous disclosure rules I am not sure you can time announcements to affect competitors. But who knows in this current environment!
