BA Club Europe makes QF J class look like F class

Please! You cannot compare the Domestic QF and the BA CE Product! Just look at the distances (for a 1,5h Flight I really do not need an IFE) or the competitors. Compared to Lufthansa (which is my personal competitor on the MUC-LHR Route) I always opt for BA CA: It is cheaper, BA offers real...

Finally reached Lifetime Gold... what next?

How many people will keep that pace over many years? Some get a new job, move, have different projects. Yes I like flying, but I like to be at home as well! I reached LTS as a minimum tier. I aim to go for LTG. I will have 9400 SC this year and probably will requalify for PLAT next year. I...

Time for AY flights to credit to QF

I only had 4 flights with AY (and they were great, especially the Spa in HE). The points took quite a long time (about 2 weeks) to be credited.

Can kids join up as QFF members?

My girls are QFF members from the very beginning. Only got points when I booked an own seat for them. As European the joining fee was never an issue for me. It is never to early to start with colllecting SCs for your lifetime status.

    Just hit Lifetime Silver

Priority luggage is not a perk of QF-Silver on other oneworld airines.

    Free flight for those disrupted.

Nothing here neither me or my dad. We are based in Germany and got stuck in SIN on QF9. My wife (PG) got the 50% more miles mail. But Dad (PS) and me did get nothing. I still have a delayed luggage claim, but I am patient as customer service must be very busy at the moment.

Frequent Flyer Calculator Version 2 now out.

Hi Tuppaware, but it depends whether I book it under BA or QF code. My usual feeder (MUC-LHR) gives 40SC in C, but as a Plat 1470 Points if booked with a QF code or 1332 if booked under BA code (which I do for my sole European flights), because of the cabin bonus. Why do not make a choice...

Frequent Flyer Calculator Version 2 now out.

Great program. Just a little suggestion: Would it be possible to add the support for non QF flights? BA or AA would come to my mind, as a start for the Status Bonus. (25/50/100% for Silver, Gold, Platinum). All non QF airlines still have 10/25/50% (Y+,J,F) Cabin Bonus so that makes it easy...

    MPD Vouchers

Ah! Those nice vouchers. I really had problems cashing them in from Europe. My travel agent could not use them. QF Germany had no idea. The ticketing desk in MEL had no idea either. I cashed them in the city office in BNE, because I was lucky to travel to Australia more than once in a year. The...

Access to Qantas club without physical oneworld sapphire card

Be careful with your wording. The Lounge agents in TXL are usually very friendly and helpful (in contrast to their colleuges in the LH Lounge). Most of them have a British background... Access policy is: Card + Boarding pass. You did not have your card! They may let you in, but do not expect it!

Priority boarding on QF domestic - what is the story?

But those two lanes have to be enforced. On QF International they usually have those lanes, but on some airports both lanes are very long, because neither pax nor staff care to check it. On the other hand I love to stay as long as possible in the lounge. So the "flight QF xx_ is now in final...

Possible to visit T5 Lounge if departing from T3?

Yes. Especially T5 is very different. Even more difficult is to leave the terminal, once you have entered it (especially for smokers, as there is no place to smoke in the whole terminal). You have to ask at customer service, they check you out and then you can leave again (otherwise you would...

Qantas status credit for complimentary upgrade

When I was lucky to receive an upgrade, I got Points and SC as originally ticketed. QF is very good in that. Even "Upgrade" shows in your activity statement. I got rare cases on other airlines, where I got points of the upgraded class. I got quite a few cases, where I got no points, because...

Possible to visit T5 Lounge if departing from T3?

You cannot enter T5 without a BP neither form landside nor transitting. They are scanned before security check and they are very strict. You can enter T3 without a BP, but only when transitting. Why do you spend the time at the airport? London has so many nice things to do!!! If you are keen...

Anyone else having problems with seat selection?

I just had a few problems. Me (WP) is traveling with Dad (PS) on different PNRs. The flight form LHR to SIN is on a 380. My travel agent had problems in getting two seats together. I could do it online. I checked it again, but after a day the seat reservation was reverted. Just did a...

Moving to UK - what should i do?

You have carefully think about which FF-Program to use (or use both and where to credit which earnings). There is no UK Credit Card that links to QFF. So you Credit Card Earnings should go to BA. There are quite a lot of earning possibilities (Tesco,...), so quite an easy way to accumulate...
