I emailed them about missing 10k points in 4 of my policies and this is what I got:

Dear ...

Thank you for your enquiry about the Qantas Frequent Flyer points.

We wish to advice that bonus points have been allocated to your policies. Please check your statements alternatively you can visit qantas.com/frequentflyer for anything else.

If you feel that Points relating to your Eligible OnePath insurance policy are not accurate you can contact OnePath on 1800 500 229. Any request for missing Points must be notified as soon as reasonably possible after you become aware and in any event within 12 months after the relevant insurance premium has been paid.

Sincerely

I checked and DO NOT have the points!

please let us know how you get on. I have no bonuses either and have emailed/filled in the feedback online/faxed. All I got was a standard reply letter stating it takes up to 4 months.

Oh wait, I just realised that it's up to 4 months after the condition is satisfied, ie. 2 months on policy plus 4 months waiting time for bonus points. So that means that if I started my policy at end of January, I can only follow up at end of July? Arrgghh...

Can someone help me please....with points now in my QFF account, how is the best way to cancel??

Does it require a posted letter, or more simply an e-mail??

Your policy details (that you got when you signed up) should have a phone number. It'll likely be the wrong one, but they patched me through to the right department when I called, so expect they'll do the same for you if you're nice. :p

Call 1800 500 229 and ask to cancel your policy; also have policy no. readily available!! They will cancel over the phone, and send you written conformation later.

Yep - I got the same response - and have replied as follows:

Good Morning;

I have received a letter dated 1 June 2011 regarding the status of missing QFF points that I indicated have not been credited, questioning if I was eligible for the bonus payment.

Having checked my bank records on your behalf, I can confirm the following direct deposit payments were made to OnePath:

15-Feb 8.77
22-Feb 8.15
15-Mar 8.77
20-Mar 8.15
15-Apr 8.77
20-Apr 8.15
16-May 8.77
20-May 8.15

As you can see, there are clearly two premiums being paid, and each was held for double the two month minimum required before being eligible for the promotional points. Both policies were applied for within minutes of one another online, and QFF membership details were provided at that time.

Whilst I appreciate that the transfer of points may take some time, my concern is that one set of bonus points appeared on the 16th May - some three weeks ago now, but there is no sight of the second bonus being credited.

Please confirm that you are in the process of rectifying this oversight, and that I will be correctly credited with the points as advertised in your promotion.

As I have met my obligations for the issue of the second bonus points on 20 March 2011, I trust that this matter will be resolved no later than 20 July 2011, per your terms and conditions.

Next stop, the Office of Fair Trading.

Anyone recently got the 10K bonus pts?

Infopath informed me that I will receive the bonus points at the end of the month, after the 4 months. So for many of us, that will be June 30th / July1st if we took out policies in Feb.

This does violate their 4 month promise but I just can't be bothered engaging OFT and CA for the sake of 2 weeks in my case. But if no points by first week of July, then they're gonna hear about it.

I purchased 3 insurance policies last weekend, but have not received any email, or PDSs in the post. Is this normal? Is there like a welcome pack that you get?

Has anyone else had trouble cancelling these policies?

Even though I got an upgrade to CBA Diamond (and so have a different Amex number - didn;t pass it on to them), and sent OnePath an email advising they were to cancel my policies at the end of last month, I have in the last week, had two more direct debits charged.

I have spoken to CBA, lodged a dispute with them (and the bank has been very good about it), as well as sending OnePath two more scathing emails, however these guys are like unwanted salesmen/religious zealots at your front door that you can;t get rid of.... except they have your bank details!!!

My first policy was cancelled successfully, and when it direct debited again I didn't even have to raise the issue, they sent a letter advising a reversal and it happened.

Will be cancelling the next 2 soon, when my points and bonuses point hopefully.

Another update for those still going along with this. I've had 2 more monthly points post at the same time, and rather late in the month, but only one came with the 10,000 bonus, so I might have to chase them up for the last lot and get my money's worth lol!!

Also need to cancel, but have lost my policy numbers which should make things interesting when calling.

I didn't have any trouble cancelling over the phone. They sent 4 individual letters confirming each policy cancellation. I didn't keep track of if they debited too much money or not.

Has anybody received the 10,000 bonus points for taking out Accident Cover Plus?

I sent an email about missing points and they replied saying they were crediting the other 3 policies but informed me that the Accident Cover Plus was not eligible for the 10,000 bonus points, only ongoing points per dollar. The terms and conditions are very vague as they never mention a policy by name only referring to eligible policies in general terms as "Term Life" and "Accidental Death" (and never anything in the terms relating to 10,000 points)

Yes, today!...just cancelled my policy 5 mins ago. However, my +1 has not received any QF pts for this policy....I give up with this company! I ask the Q, "How the hell can you trust this company to pay up if you need to actually claim on your insurance???"

There is light at the end of the tunnel now. I'm still walking towards it.

How have you guys applied for this? Over the phone or online? What link did you use to apply online?

Go to the QFF Member Specials page and there will be a link there to use. Fairly simple. The ability to add your QFF number comes right at the very end, once the insurance has been signed up for and completed.
