Yes same for me... absolutely stunned. Well done Qantas for making a real improvement on this. Now to buy to some more vouchers before the cut off.

I've just bought $1,500 in QF vouchers and then went to get $1K in vouchers from Virgin and was stopped in my tracks.

We apologise for the inconvenience but we no longer accept American Express as a payment method.​

You what!? You'll take a standard reservation with Amex but not the payment for the vouchers...AND VA want to charge $5 processing fee for $250 voucher or $20 for a $1K voucher. Plus no bonus points. They just lost me. Back to QF I go...

VA haven't been taking AMEX for vouchers for several months now... means it's not really worth it

Back on topic, no QF voucher points yet but I only bought a few days ago...

Today I receive 1 with me listed 5 times. Try redeeming that for a single flight - not possible. Quickly fixed after a phone call so all good now.

I think next time it will be easier to make separate purchases so getting different voucher numbers.

VA do sell gift vouchers... Virgin Australia Gift Vouchers | Virgin Australia

And the Entertainment book doesn't take Amex either

I think most around here would have similar friends.

Funny you say that, I actually have a $50 voucher, expiring next September, that should provide some extra benefits if redeemed before March, which I can't use in that time frame.

From that initial start I've had to talk mum through the voucher purchase process half a dozen times. She's got the hang of it now. I'm glad they fixed it for you.

After reading the dubious comments mid November about problems, I went ahead and purchased $600 worth. I used them a couple of weeks ago against 2 x J tickets SYD-LAX and just this morning found the 6000 bonus points in my FF account.
I certainly had no problems and hope they come back again soon
