The moment a VISA card comes out with 1.5 points for transfer to QF, DJ and SQ I would drop Amex in an instant!

What's going on? I signed up to some promo for (I think) bonuses for shopping at certain places. I received 1k bonuses for shopping. Then transferred my points to Velocity (and Gold Mc points to Qantas) for a planned trip. Over a few days I earned a few MR points, and now those few MR points vanished with a notation 'bonus points reversal - awarded in error'. What promo were guys on? Meantime there's no email or letter from Amex saying they awarded bonuses in error. Meantime oin case they'll be reversing all points earnt for a while, I'll be cancelling direct charges and using other cards that have lower interest, no surcharge, and points that aren't taken back. Dammed if I'm paying 2 to 3% surcharges on hotels and meals and phones, gas and power if Amex want to play their 'poc' game again.

Likewise, only a few hundred $$ but that would have been close to 1,000KF miles.....

Well it is VERY close to the 1st of September and no mention of the Amex promo yet.......

If anything I expect a limit of around 5-10,000 points after the last debacle.
