Indeed, with all State / Territory capitals except for DRW. /Sigh /Bah humbug

Re: Couple of AAdvantage questions from a newbie to it

I am very glad that I am wrong. I am sure that I checked the t&c when our booking was on though and it excluded Hobart. Either I misread it or they have changed things since then.

Thanks people.

Dale.

Can anybody tell me what this is? 1,000 AA miles appeared in my account, no idea what they are for.

I guess you have a relatively new account.

When you open an account & don't live in the USA then you get a 1000 bonus for signing up for the e-summary ( which was a mandatory setting when signing up for the acccount ).

Ah, thanks serfty, I opened the account in June I think. Every little helps I suppose.

Re: Couple of AAdvantage questions from a newbie to it

A quick query - is there a web page somewhere on the AA site (I can't find it) that sets out the fees they charge - you know the $75 close up ticketing fee, $150 cancellation fee etc.

I'm just doing an insurance claim and they want to see proof of the change and cancel fees besides what was charged to my credit card!

Thanks,
Dale.

Re: Couple of AAdvantage questions from a newbie to it

Hi All

I have an el cheapo QF Y ticket in (E) fare bucket.

But on the AA table, E class is not there.

So, it is not an earner or is it ?

Thanks

Re: Couple of AAdvantage questions from a newbie to it

If any fare bucket not on the AAdvantage earn table for QF flights then it will not earn with AAdvantage.

Re: Couple of AAdvantage questions from a newbie to it

What about a Network Aviation flight, booked into Y. It's a charter obviously. Shows as Y on the booking.

Re: Couple of AAdvantage questions from a newbie to it

Has anyone booked a oneworld explorer award?
oneworld Airlines Award Chart

If booking J, what cabin are in you in for the AA domestic legs with a 2 cabin Y/F aircraft?
What is award availability like for CX for intra-Asia, SWP-Asia and Asia-USA?

Thanks :)

Have not booked one myself but have looked into it.
My understanding is that you will be booked into the F cabin in two-class configs on domestic AA routes.

Wouldn't get excited about F on AA dom.
IME it's slightly only better than Y.

Unless you are way down the back in a middle seat. Then the F seats look pretty good.
And while the "meals" are not stellar, they mostly beat paying for something in the terminals.
Again, unless it is early in the morning, and you really need that good cup of coffee.

Slightly better than MCE seats? Perhaps

Happy wandering

Best to avoid Coach in the US where possible.

I actually really like F on AA. The FA's are almost always pleasant, they serve a mean G&T and I can always get somewhere to store my carry-on.
Food wise I love the Chicken Quesadilla, Beef Fillet, Ice Cream Sundaes and Choc Chip cookies (though not all on the one flight ;) )

Yes you are booked into F.
And I agree with the Princess.I like AA domestic F.Just think of it as the domestic premium cabin.it sure beats European premium cabin offerings. And if you are on a paid flight on your QFF number you get a lot more SCs.
I also prefer the AA domestic F meals to QF domestic J.At least they have real salads. But then I think I am allergic to Neil Perry.
