Re: Oz Federal Election 2013 - Discussion and Comments

I look forward to Brandis standing by his convictions by referring himself and Bananaby to the AFP for misusing taxpayer funds. Just like he did for Peter Slipper.

Hardly surprised by the lack of mock outrage from drron on this, news flash slipper wasn't a minister either. What is your point. Stealing from the taxpayer makes Brandis and bananaby unfit to be a ministers now. Or perhaps stealing taxpayer funds is part of the Abbott merit selection criteria.

Well Medhead Julia Gillard should be judged harshly by you shouldn't she-

And again Medhead-the Peter Slipper case was not just about parliamentary expenses.
And as for Barnaby-he flew from St.George to Sydney to appear on TV-channel,10.A car to the wedding was supplied by the groom-not taxpayer funded. The next day he flew to Moree to attend a meeting on water planning. He did not claim for the night in Sydney despite having ample reason to do so.
Really Medhead you should not believe everything you read in Fairfax or hear on the ABC.But it does appeal to your prejudices so I guess I should not be surprised.

Really drron. You should realise that I'm not reading your posts anymore. Let me guess you tried to excuse Brandis and Bananaby on the basis that 2 wrongs make a right? I guess like brandis the morals vary based on political affiliation.

What an admission by medhead-he attacks people when he doesn't even know what they are saying.
This response certainly proves it.
So never believe anything medhead says.

Is there just the chance that posts could be made here without contempt?

Pipe dreaming much? This is a political thread.

And if our politicians - everyone from federal to state to local to even microcosms like youth parliaments and university unions - are an example, then contempt is probably standard and expected.

The only thing more than contempt would be something like this: 總統大é¸2008 Greatest Parliamentary Fights of all time - YouTube

Barnaby had to do an interview on Ch10 that day, which required his flying to SYD. So his flight was a legitimate expense to claim.

Wonder what they wrote

More bullying off topic comments I guess. Neither of these two seem bothered about addressing the topic. They just seem obsessed with making personal attacks on me.

Last time I checked the central coast was not Sydney. His media business was in Sydney. He took a comcar to the central coast to stay near a private function he was attending. Why are my taxes paying for him to drive to a totally separate location where he has NO government business? Rorting taxpayer funds.

This whole situation highlights that Brandis' attack on slipper was all about a blind quest for power, rather than ethical standards.

You are asking for a civilised political discussion from fanatics?

Impossible. I really wish this thread was shut down as most posts are just stupid and serve no purpose what so ever....

Obviously you do not want to know the truth. He did not use a comcar to go to the Central coast-the groom provided a limo and it is documented.
I always wondered why Medhead didn't understand my posts. Now I know the truth.
I also thought this misrepresentation by him was a personal attack on me.Now I know it is just ignorance.

I guess you'll never know. But I vastly enjoyed what they said. REALLY funny.

You're replying to one of the fanatics. Contempt is reserved for those who turn to personal attacks instead of posting about the topic.

Totally totally agree. The attack dogs have had their day. Call a halt.

OK, how about this:

Topic: "Abbott in government".

Comment: Yes, he is.

Additional comment: Under the Abbott Government the terms 'bully/bullying' will hopefully be restored to their traditional meaning, rather than to the effect "You disagree with me, so here's a nasty label rather than a rebuttal."

Re: Oz Federal Election 2013 - Discussion and Comments

And on topic 2 boatloads have already been sent back to Indonesia after being picked up by Australian vessels.
Fairfax and the ABC though concentrate on blaming the Government for drowning deaths of a boat that capsized 50 metres from the Indonesian shore.

That is totally on topic. And to add to that, when a poster doesn't agree with someone else they are labelled a bully. And when giving that label it is done with nasty language and contempt. And reported for disagreeing just for icing. Bizarre.

I've never been called a bully just because I disagree with someone, except on this thread. I'm still waiting for evidence I've "attacked" a poster and not critiqued the post, or called Rudd or Gillard anything but their names or used nasty language on this thread. Then I could be called a bully. It also seems that according to some I have to abide by rules that they don't have to.

Yes. Abbott and the Coalition is in Government for 3 years.

Bullying involves a while heap of personal comments. Like what you did while not bothering to address the topic. And like the gang of 6 bullies do in telling me what to post and making snide comments, just like yours here, about getting over it. I'm certainly using it in the tradition sense of the word. You lot don't agree with my opinion and you launch into a feeding frenzy of personal comments about me. You are a disgusting, pathetic mob of bullies in the normal sense of the word. You have just continued it now.
