Re: Oz Federal Election 2013 - Discussion and Comments

He reminds me of John for PM. Is it the bananas or the steamy weather that creates these w*nkers?

I'm thinking nouveau riche. Can't buy class with money.

Re: Oz Federal Election 2013 - Discussion and Comments

TA "good old electricity Bill Shorten" lol

Got a giggle out of that myself.....good line that will be used over and over again.

Re: Oz Federal Election 2013 - Discussion and Comments

Spell checker changed my Joh for PM to John for PM.
Clive Palmer appears to be full of bluster and loves being a bully. Can he run one term or will he be gone in a few months.

Well apparently it's ok to use in parliament

From ABC

The first hour of the 44th Parliament was dominated by a row over whether "Electricity Bill" - in reference to Opposition Leader Bill Shorten - is an appropriate term for Parliament.

Speaker Bronwyn Bishop ruled it is and in a rare move, Labor moved a dissent motion over the ruling.

The dissent motion was lost, but the political chaos delayed Mr Abbott's move to introduce the main bill to repeal the carbon tax - legislation Labor and the Greens have vowed to block in the Senate.

What a surprise - parliamentary standards lowered on the very first day of Despicable T's term of office. It's all downhill from here, folks.

Well let's not forget that the Speaker will still be attending party planning meetings etc. No sign of independence at all. She is there to assist the PM and Liberal members in achieving their agenda.

It was interesting listening to an interview with the former speaker on Monday, she said that Ms Bishop would have a very easy time because she (Ms Bishop) wouldn't have to deal with herself or Tony Abbott.

Re: Oz Federal Election 2013 - Discussion and Comments

From what I heard on the radio it was more talk about Labor's delaying tactics.

Re: Oz Federal Election 2013 - Discussion and Comments

Abuse more important than diplomacy for PM.

Prime Minister Tony Abbott has left a senior delegation of Indonesian officials, including its Vice-President, cooling their heels in his office while he remained in Parliament for a debate about whether he could call Bill Shorten "Electricity Bill".

Re: Oz Federal Election 2013 - Discussion and Comments

I'd keep them waiting too. It's been far too long since we've had a PM willing to stand up to recalcitrant neighbours.

PK was correct calling it all those years ago......about time we had more of the same IMO.

You say that like its a bad thing lol

Maybe Electricity Bill can start using "Despicable T"

I like it.

Question time was awesome she kept it all under control.

"There is no point of order continue" was the general theme.

Labor need to raise their game big time based on that performance.

Despicable T is in fact a term of endearment. I'll explain later when I have the time.

Looking forward to Order in the House as I haven't the time to watch parliament live.

Clive was Joh's campaign Manager for Joh's Canberra bid.No wonder it reminds you of it.
Clive in the long run will do as well as Joh in that campaign.

Flo's pumpkin scones were delicious. One of their successes.

Like really??

You people are still whinging.

After accusing TA of having the longest dummy spit in history - you go and do the same??

At least last parliament was a hung parliament.

At least the last whinge thread (from close to the last election) was about the Carbon Tax.

You folks need to get over the election result (just as Libs did in 2007), and move on with your lives.

Come back to the next election thread in 2.5 yrs.

Can't believe I've wasted typing even replying.....
