For the purposes of estimating numbers, could folk coming along give me an indication of which events you are likely to attend?

Whichever Saturday night veneue we choose (I suggested Loewnbrau Löwenbräu Keller and stand by my conviction ), we need to book for a party of it seems at least 20! We should also be doing this soon rather than leave it for much longer as I would hate to miss out on such a great night out.

Would the organiser like me to do this? Also, from their website...

"Are you having an Oktoberfest party and want an authentic Bavarian theme? Why not let the team at the Löwenbräu Keller design an event plan free of charge? We deliver a Bavarian party package to suit your budget and party needs."

Entertainment options:
• Traditional German Oom PahPah band
• Kneeslappers
• Yodellers
• German DJs

Theming options:
• Bavarian decorations
• Staff in original costumes
• and lots more

Now there's an idea methinks!

 I don't see the 'buxom wenches' option! Or is that a given.

I've never been convinced that the words German and cuisine belong in the same sentence but I've survived it before so happy to go along with whatever option is chosen. :)

Friday - all
Saturday - dinner yes, pre-dinner unsure at this stage (better idea when timings are known)
Sunday - all

Firstly, memories of the Tarmac Tour at OzFest II remind me that it may need to be booked well in advance.

Certainty put Jenny and myself down for:

  • Sydney Airport Tarmac Tour AM/PM?[Maybe - we arrive in SYD at 9:30am]
  • Saturday Lunch
  • Saturday Dinner
  • Sunday Lunch/Harbour Cruise and Lunch

Mr & Mrs munitalP will attend...

  • Friday Flounging
  • Friday drinks
  • Saturday Lunch (Din Tai Fung maybe ? :) please please please please.....)
  • Saturday Dinner
We are on the 1800 SYD/MEL Sunday so no Flounging for us Sunday

Mr!

Saturday Lunch (Din Tai Fung maybe ? :) please please please please.....)

You have my vote.

Although I'm still unconfirmed for the whole thing because my leave hasn't been approved... Grr...

I've never been to Din Tai Fung but I love Taiwanese food so another vote for the place. :)

As for those menus - I'm cool with anything that doesn't involve shellfish.

The menus for the Saturday venues don't work for me (no vego food), so I'll skip those. I'll come along to:

  • Friday FLounging
  • Friday Drinks
  • Sydney Airport Tarmac Tour
  • Saturday post-dinner drinks (I assume this will happen?)
  • Sunday BLounging

Haven't made up my mind about the harbour cruise yet.

I think I'm going to follow your lead in this and do much the same, although I wont be in MEL so no FLounge for me. Didn't even realise there was a cruise, so not sure if I'll be doing that, I'm so lost already.

As for the menu's, I could go for the healthy vego option or the cheapest offering. Don't really mind. Do I need to make a choice by a certain date?

I think I will give this gathering a miss.

It would have been nice to meet up with people but I have absolutely no interest in the venues chosen for Saturday lunch and dinner.
