The OH has booked his flights so please upgrade him to Platinum.

Unfortunately I can't confirm my own attendance at this point. I do hope to get a clearer picture by September or so.

OH is booked on QF620 MEL-BNE and returning on QF637 BNE-MEL. I will match these flights if I do go.

We're most likely staying at the Sofitel or the Novotel.

The Sofitel in Brisbane apparently doesn't earn Accor points. As a result OH has changed our hotel booking to Novotel. Pics on tripadvisor are decent, certainly better looking than the Novotels I've stayed at....

I'd be back at the Emporium if I had my way... From the map, the Novotel seems to be in a similar if not better locale than the Emporium though - right around the corner from all the bars we hung out at.

I would love to kmow how many golfers would be interested in playing and possibly what handicaps.
I will be attending the next Brisbane drinks night (June 30) and hopefully will get hold of some details of suitable and available golf courses.
My home club is The Brisbane Golf Club.
Any requests for a particular Golf Course....post them here.

Checked my Bookings at Qantas and notice a flight to Townsville 19 Oct.
Now the bad news:-

Will be there for 6 days with a Social Golf Club.
So from me, a definite disappointed " I will not be attending"

Following on from a rather nice night at Royal Pines, although I’m on the Gold Coast I came up with an idea to possibly host Friday night drinks and BBQ dinner at my place on the Gold Coast. I have a few wines that could be drank and if it was free dinner with a BYOB extra wines, I thought some might be interested.

Not sure how that’d fit in though, so simply throwing it out there if a better choice can’t be found in Brisbane.

I’m happy to host.

Expedia sale on, 50% off for Hotels on the gathering dates. Just nabbed myself the Hilton for $500 All-in prepaid including breakfast. Much better than the $700 or so showing on the Hilton website.

There are some good BNE restaurant reviews in this months QFF magazine. I have taken a copt for myself, but suggest anyone who’s flying to have a look through and comment if the places listed are actually worthwhile or not.
