Another one to add to the most very likely list.

A one way JASA is on the cards, I got to requalify for platinum some how.

And Canberra has a nice lounge, and great staff as well.
I'll second almost all comments, except that my re-qual will be Gold :D

I might add the important fields are your email address if you want confirmation and your AFF handle, phone numbers, addresses etc do not need to be real.

Have put as gold (although I'm currently more of a silver in interest right now) ; I'm looking into the viability of the trip as I have an Alumni dinner on 1 week earlier in Perth so may spend a week in Perth, head over to Sydney for a day or two then onto AFF and make my way back to London from there.

I'd throw my hat in, except that I really don't know if I can make it (it's a money thing, not an availability thing)...

Thanks to all that have registered, a status update :

Myself and +1 are currently down as Gold.

Will there be an opportunity to change this to Platinum at a latter stage, or do I need to re-register?

Just looking for numbers approx at this stage so the organizers are clued in on what may happen, final confirmation of numbers and activity participation will happen obviously closer to the weekend.

Done!

Wanders off to think of Canberra places to show off.

Look forward to your ideas. :)

Done. Hope the organisers find us some good things :)

We're trying (who said very? )

Early days yet but I am thinking hard, if you're a local and want to join me on the organising committee please send a PM we'll have a drink or two and maybe even do some planning.

I thought I’d indicated my commitment, but obviously not. I am a Platinum for this, and look forward to sale fares becoming available for the right dates. I’m not sure if anyone will be joining me, so can I add a ~1 :p

Is the planning that stressful you've taken up drinking??!!

I've just realised I'm not going to be able to make this, I have a few visitors making a special trip over to LON to see me.... oops!

Just a thread bump to remind people this auspicious event is only six months away.

I see we've had several new members recently and you're all invited.

I have started some basic planning and have had a few ideas sent to me. Keep them coming.

If you're local and want to join me in the planning feel free to contribute.

And a good bump it is as I just booked my flights.

7 Oct BNE-CBR arrive around 5:00pm, standard Y.
9 Oct CBR-SYD-BNE depart 4:55pm on a JASA, someone had to grab it so I got it. :p;)

Now to figure out where to stay.

Edit:Crowne Plaza Hotel
1 BINARA STREET
CANBERRA, 2601
AUSTRALIA
$240.00 a night not cheap, but will check closer to time as this is the flexible rate.

Edit again,
Entertainment rate $216.00 a night, maybe I should have booked that one instead.
