Check seat map on Expert Flyer - if no B seats then lay flat.

... of course it could be subbed

Taa - appears lay flat then:

Subs on on this route occur regularly? And the 2 most important questions:
1. Is real Champs served in SIN J Lounge?
2. What Champs served on board?

So which seat site seems to be the most reliable - ExpertFlyer, Seatguru, of QF seatmap?

ExpertFlyer is accurate but subject to substation. My 747 for QF73 to SFO tomorrow has gone from reconfig to old config back to reconfig in the last 2 days. Makes selecting the best seat a challenge. Hopefully no more changes!

Have done QF36 3 times in past 6 months - no swap, touch wood
1. Oz sparkling in SIN J lounge - recommend going to Emirates after a bite for french stuff
2. last week - was not B Salmon, but some less famous champagne house

If holding QF BP you can access EK lounge? No restrictions?

From YSSYforum, looks like refurbs are to restart shortly:

QPH (#8 of 10) to go in on Saturday
EBD (#10 of 18 and last of the ex-JQs) to go in Wednesday

EBD (... last of the ex-JQs)

Not totally correct. Last of the Millennium seats yes but actually started life as a QF aircraft
EBD delivered new to QF in 04/03, to JQ 11/06, back to QF 11/14

The only new JQ planes are in the 2x3x2 Recaro J Config
EBQ delivered to JQ 02/11, to QF 01/14
EBR delivered to JQ 09/11, to QF 03/14
Although identical layout to EBO, EBP which were QF deliveries, alongside EBM, EBN in the 2x2x2 Silverwing config

Ah! Forgot about those. Thanks for the correction.

QPH has been delayed going in until tomorrow. It's operating QF81 SYD to SIN today but will return to BNE on the QF52 overnight.

Another A333 will position up to BNE tomorrow morning as QF6007 to replace QPH in the schedule.

Flyerqf, while the employees at maintenance hangars have to return to work sometime - and 11 January seems logical - it is a bit surprising because with the end of the Christmas school holidays shortly, QF would - like most airlines into and out of Oz - be very busy, so having QPH 'out' might not be ideal.

They don't have extra flights scheduled and their season flights are ending in the next week or so. They also have extra capacity in the 744 and 388 fleet at the moment.
