ALL QF's 330's to get lay flat Business seating - Including Domestic

QPH has been delayed going in until tomorrow. It's operating QF81 SYD to SIN today but will return to BNE on the QF52 overnight.

Another A333 will position up to BNE tomorrow morning as QF6007 to replace QPH in the schedule.

Great prediction. QPC operated as QF6007 this morning, so we can say QPH is in (most likely for a 1-mth Refurb given its age)

QPC was late in from PVG yesterday. It was due to operate to SIN and QPH position to BNE.
But QPH then subbed for QPC due to the inbound delay... Hence delaying the entry to maintenance.

If the last 3 333 refurbs are only 1 month.. They'll have completed 3 in the next 3-4 months, presumably they can do the same amount of 332 at the same time. Meaning by Easter, they could be completed 22 / 28.

I wonder if they'll do the last 6 332 still two at a time, so they can finish July-ish.

I think QPH, QPJ will be 1-mth, but QPG 2-mth.
With 10 operating 333s should be able to do 2/time. My earlier prediction was August

I have just booked my parents and Grandmother on a SYD-PER-SYD trip which is currently showing the new A332 config.

From my last flights on there I made a mistake with the seat allocations and what I thought was going to be across and aisle was actually offset by one row.

These are booked with AA miles and no status so my options limited to what is available from row 5 and beyond. From the seat map it looks like 5K, 6F, 6E will line up or have I got it wrong again?

I think you are right. 1A lines up with 2E and so on.

Yes, those 3 seats pretty much "line up". Although 6E and 6F have the divider between them. 5K and 6F seats are both are on the edge of the aisle, rather than being off-set, so easy to wave (and talk?) to each other. ;)

Easier for 5K and 6F to interact, compared to 6E and 6F, probably.

Some time ago I put an upgrade request in for qf24 when showing a non-refurb layout. The plane has been subbed to QPF (refurb) and is currently on way to BKK. Now hoping for the upgrade at the gate as I'm still have my Y ticket after check-in in REP. Let's hope that the sub continues to go my way.

332 VH-EBD will operate tonight's QF594 PER-BNE. It doesn't look to be operating any flights tomorrow, so I believe it will be going in for its refurb to new J class 1-2-1 config.

Anyone knew if QF are flying the new business suite on BNE-HKG route? Have an upcoming flight coming Australia day and wonder if we should allocate 2 windows or 2 middle seat - 2 windows if its on the new suite but risking the chance that we will be separated if on the older 333 (on different PNR). Middle seat is by far safest. Seat plan and expert flyer is showing the new suite.

QF594 arrived at gate 20 at the salellite last night whereas more often than not it arrives at gate 24 then operates QF589 the following morning.

Sometimes the 332 that comes in as QF594 PER/BNE has then operated QF503 BNE/SYD the next morning and the 332 that operates QF589 will get towed from a parking bay or ex hangar after QF503 has departed.

The 332 can only use gates 20 or 24 in BNE whereas the 767 could use 20 or 22, 23, 24 or 25.

The QF 97/98 BNE-HKG get the refurbed aircraft quite often. If the seat plan is showing that's what you've got, great. But it's certainly possible that it could be swapped at the last minute for an old config, if there are technical problems or delays around the network.

Looks like EBD is into the hanger with EBF/EBR operating the abovementioned QF503/589

Thanks for the confirmation. As it was not mentioned anywhere, wasn't sure if the business suite is up and running on QF97.

My mum had it in both directions over the Christmas period. As did family friends. All were suitably impressed and looked forward to the next flight.

Sam, do you know if you get a PJ on the daytime flight from BNE-HKG? Just wondering if I need to pack my own PJ to change into. Thanks

Not in my experience. They only hand them out on the overnight return.

After five days doing nothing EBD back into service, so the waiting continues.

Reported on YSSY that EBD is currently an operational spare and will go into Refurb on 27/1
