Good. No other state should cop the cost for demands of other states.A day too late but SA has now banned predeparture tests for Qld.
If anyone in Brisbane wants to buy rat grange super pharmac_ has heaps. Can now go to AdelaideA day too late but SA has now banned predeparture tests for Qld.
Which is exactly what the Premier said would happen from the start - 'spot checks'. For someone who keeps telling us about the situation in Tasmania ( from your vantage point in Queensland), I'm surprised you didn't know that.Zipping down to Tassie they still have their funny little sheds built airside arrival and so many public servants milling around in them looking very bored and texting on their phone, scrolling through instagram.
Jumped up in excitement to scan QR codes. Cursory glance at some people’s ‘test result text’ but absolutely not checking closely.
I have a colleague who had multiple Qld passes all at once, with different types of entries. There seemed to be no provision in the system to prevent this.Oh goodness no you have an incredibly positive view of the state of public health systems tech in Australia though .
This is why I’ve kept saying all this pre arrival declaration stuff is a complete facade. Nothing is linked and even if it was some authorities do not even have access to check if they wanted to. Just fear and control measures.
There are several ways of presenting another perspective.

I had two with SA for approval which I found curious, trouble is, that meant I was being pinged twice a day asking me to confirm I'd entered. Same name, DOB and mobile number and SA Gov account.I have a colleague who had multiple Qld passes all at once, with different types of entries. VA is already flexible policy until 30th April. With all the state borders (ex WA of course) looking thankfully jammed open now for good - do we think the airlines will extend their flexi change polices beyond end Feb now state border restrictions are being peeled back to nothing?
People who get COVID and need to iso will still need flexibility. Plus peace of mind when booking something far ahead (eg what if a new variant appears)With all the state borders (ex WA of course) looking thankfully jammed open now for good - do we think the airlines will extend their flexi change polices beyond end Feb now state border restrictions are being peeled back to nothing?

Unsure of QF.
Don't care about Rexy. Sorry I really don't!
International for all I think is end of 2022.
Interesting! Hopefully Gutsy can hold his nerve for a bit longer then it will be moot.I had a long chat this morning with someone involved in Tasmania's Covid response. The Public Health officials are literally wetting themselves. They want the border closed. This is what @RooFlyer has been saying about our CHO for ages. According to this source it is the Premier insisting on open borders but backed up strongly by his Deputy and Health Minister.

Or, why should any State pay for the cost of PCR tests for holidaymakers?Good. No other state should cop the cost for demands of other states.
I agree wholeheartedly, why should any taxpayer pay for a holiday. My idea months ago was if a state wants to stimulate tourism by offering a rebate if you stay for X days or weeks in hotels, spend X amount on local business etc than that's a business decision.Or, why should any State pay for the cost of PCR tests for holidaymakers?

The pathology free for all was wrong from the minute it was announced as being allowed for travel which then allowed the states to put the restrictions in without concern to the real consequences.
