I think it gets back to that Myer case at Bondi that is the Delta variant. Someone got it just by walking past someone else. As soon as it jumped out of the Eastern suburbs in Sydney this was always going to happen.

Surely this is why we’re aiming for maximum vaccination? Once 80-90% of the population is vaccinated, we won’t have to do all this border closing?

Im unsure that target will be ever achieved in order to stop border restrictions. Have any comparable countries reached this...

Though I have posted about a town in Amazonia Brazil who decided to do a trial of vaccination and set about getting everyone vaccinated-it was close to Manaus that got hammered.
When they got to 75% vaccination levels hospital admissions disappeared.

I don't think a negative test will help you get to Aden (ADE). But it might help with Adelaide (ADL).

If you’re in ADE the least of your worries is COVID-19… the civil war would be more of a concern…

CHO's are beholden to the Premiers aren't they? I don't imagine any Australian Premier relinquishing power to anybody (in their capacity to enable travel)

SA in a state of emergency is under the control of the Police Commissioner and not the Premier.

Apologies, I now see some 17 Declarations of Major Emergency in SA. Is the Police Commissioner calling the shots? I have seen SA Premier and CHO on TV but not your PC. Mind you we do not see much news of SA in QLD. (All travel concerns and apolitical).

Curious the snap shot that get shown interstate. Unlike the other Premiers, ours is definitely more AWOL than the rest. Rarely fronts to bad news but leaves that to the Commissioner although he did front today. Guess that's part of the deal with the emergency powers.
