Easier (and very slightly cheaper with the current 100% bonus) to use UA miles for a redemption of this nature. And no fluffing around.

Just to (belatedly) report two recent successful mixed class online award bookings:

1 x MEL-ATH in J & F class: MEL-BKK (TG 772 J class) BKK-MUC (TG 747 F Class) & MUC-ATH (A3 A320 J class) travelled June 2016.

1 X LIS-MEL in J & F class: LIS-LHR (TP A320 J class) LHR-DEL (AI 772 F class) & DEL-MEL (AI 787 J class), travelled July 2016.

Both trips booked directly online using the LifeMiles search engine with a combination of points & pay between one and two months prior to travel.

(Point of interest: J class bed on the AI B787 notably more comfortable than the older F class on the AI B777)

OZ: Jfk-Icn (F), Icn-Syd (J) x2: 222,000 pts + USD124.02

Another November beauty, I love it when a plan comes together:

LAX-ICN-SYD OZ F 111,000 pts + USD61.56

Still a couple of days left!

Successful (though painful) cancellation last night of HND-BKK-MEL.

Then successful CTS-BKK-MEL booking overnight by screenshot. Only took 2 hours from sending the email to receiving Amadeus reservations. Now just have to call up and pay taxes.

All flights for 2 in business class.

is CTS still mis-coded?

Not sure if it was ever mis-coded, but if it has must have been 3-4 years ago+

Booked return MEL - BKK - SGN on TG in J for October 2016. Hopefully flat beds by then.
Had to use screenshot method, but quick response.
80000 points and about $150 tax.

SYD-ICN-SYD OZ F (A380) 100,000 pts + USD135.20

Available for certain dates in November.

Thanks to trixydoza for the heads-up.

great redemption - we are trying to find the same in november but i think we've missed the boat.. wife and i managed to both coordinate some leave in Nov this week but can't find any F flights... we've instead managed to screenshot ADL-SIN-ICN and back via SQ and OZ for 80000points each

(1) YVR-HND-SYD NH J for 80,000 points + USD96.56

(2) YVR-SYD-AKL AC/NZ J for 80,000 points + USD87.62

(2) Errors out if you try to just book YVR-SYD. But no need to take that last leg, obviously.

Bonus is that the flights arrive around the same time.

Booked via screenshot I'm guessing??
