Sorry if my question has already been answered, but I haven't read all 14 pages of this thread.

Off-topic, but I hate comments like this. "Sorry, I'm too lazy to read all the questions that have already been asked, so I'll just ask it again". Sheesh.

I don't, I'm lazy.

Besides, I don't think that question has been answered this year. but I have noticed most of the other usual questions get asked.

My main repeated tip is to write down the PNR that is shown immediately after you pay for the voucher.

Have done that, but still find that the voucher isn't "ready" immediately after purchase.

QF corporate email received yesterday says 10ppd, but leads to last years promotion page...

The tip won't process it faster, but I strongly encourage all to make sure they have their PNRs regardless.

got the 10 ppd gift card email - You willing to join a class action? :joke: Personally even at 7.5* points per $ I'm relatively happy with the offer.

* including CC points

Wow... that's a pretty poor copy-paste job. I wonder how many people will genuinely be caught out by that. Qantas really should send out an updated email indicating that the information provided in that email was from last year and that it is out-of-date.

Curious as to whether anyone has seen their bonus points credited yet?

Normally points would not appear until sometime after the end of the offer.

Read the thread and done a search but can't seem to find an answer to my question.

Used a $500 voucher to book a $509 flex economy fare (other $9 on cc). I cancelled the fare today and it said in the fare conditions that the cancellation fee is $88. Will my voucher now be worth $421? And will I be able to use this voucher in the same way (by making one booking and being reissued another voucher with any remaining balance)? I selected 'refund' as opposed to 'voucher' when cancelling.

Thanks for for any assistance.

I've read the T&Cs and can't find the answer to this question. I've also read the whole thread and nevertheless will ask with trepidation:

For various reason, mostly work, I often travel at different times to Mrs H. As a result I think a $1,000 voucher for 2pax might end up being wasted if we don't travel together. I'm thinking of buying 2x $500 for 1pax. If we do happen to travel together I'd make seperate bookings to comply with T&Cs and then call QF and ask the PNRs to be linked. Anyone see a hole in my plan? Have I overlooked any T&Cs?

You're pretty spot on. You'll have to use two separate vouchers if booking two pax separately and then calling them up to do a TCP so that system knows you're traveling together is pretty much the only way to do it.

I received 8736 points out of 18800 of shopping points from one order of 2 items, the points received do not correlate to either of the items, its crazy, called Qantas got nowhere.

This is the gift voucher thread.

Purchased my $1000 gift voucher yesterday, that I will redeem in the next few months once I work out a 2016 end of year getaway.

A bonus 5000 QFF points will come in very handy too :)

Decided to buy 2 x $2000, 1 x $400 and 5 x $200 this time around. Probably would have done at least double that if it was 10 pts/$ but for 5 pts it didn't really seem worth the effort.

Didn't purchase that many gift vouchers this year. Only $2,950 purchased which is down on previous years.

Didn't purchase any this time - I'd aready had my fill for the coming year with $200 in rebates over 4 Amex cards with $1400 total in vouchers a couple of months earlier.:)

I know this is OT, but quick answer is prob that taxes, shipping and fees don't earn points. QF also also very bad at applying the correct points per dollar (ie. Standard ppd rather than bonus points rate).

I ended up purchasing a few, but only a couple more than enough to cover my known domestic travel over the next few months where (thanks to the boxing day sale and anticipated New Year's sale) I was confident QF prices and times were competitive. Haven't covered for any international trips as I'm increasingly using other airlines for price and new experiences.

The downgrade to 5 points per dollar was a marginal disincentive but not a determining factor in my view. I may have purchased 2 or 3 more for the credit card savings and points had it remained at 10.

Hello

Are these offers typically only once per year? I did buy a voucher for a booking I needed to make immediately, but it looks like I will be doing some more flights with QF this year. It's a bit unfortunate, but I wasn't sure whether I'd be paying for the flights or not and the arrangements were only confirmed last week. With no bonus points, are there any other benefits to these vouchers apart from the saving on the credit card fee?

Thanks, j
