Would you like me to bring you some in a plastic container? Just ask for milk onboard! :p
Appreciate the thought :p We'll full up in lounge pancakes this time though?

And Major, I've been reading a whole thread recently about how to behave when people recline!

medhead - looks like we have been bumped to E90 (if we wernt already) which makes me very happy! Hopefully its one of the refurbed ones.

It was a 737. But did change. I think refurbed, as the seat map had business last time I looked. Only 2 empty J seats.

I should mention that after finding the Crowne Plaza for a similar rate to the Novotel, I've jumped ship to enjoy my IHG plat benefits while I still can.

If you are heading to Central for the 10:48am departure, one-way tickets cost $15.90 / $11.40

They are scheduled to depart Domestic for the 10 or 11 minute journey at 9:14, 9:30, 9:44, 10:00, 10:14 & 10:40
(I suggest the last one is pushing it).

If heading to Wolli Creeak for the 11:01am pick up, one-way tickets cost $15.90 / $11.40

They are scheduled to depart Domestic for the 9 minute journey at 9:48, 10:03, 10:18, 10:33 & 10:48

If wanting to save a $10.90 and get some air, you can train to International for $5 and from there it's a 1.6km 20 minute walk to Wolli Creek.

Finally, Wolli Ck is a 5K, 1 hour walk from Domestic.

Re: Airport Trains Saturday Morning

We will be heading to the VA lounge for some breakfast and catch a train to central about 10.00

Another option would be a 1.8km walk to Mascot (approximately 24mins according to google maps or 6mins of bus+walking) and then train it from there.

Mascot to Wolli Ck ($3.60)
The train trip is 7mins and leaves every 15mins from the hour (0900, 0915, 0930, etc)

Mascot to Central ($3.60)
The train trip is 8mins and leaves every 15mins from 2 minutes past the hour (0902, 0917, 0932, etc)

The Bus from Domestic Airport to Mascot is bus number 400 heading towards Bondi Junction. It involves getting off just before Mascot station and walking the remaining 200m from the corner of Bourke and Coward Streets. The fare is $2.20 and takes approximately 6mins from bus stop outside T3, and that's including the 200m from the corner of Bourke and Coward Streets to Mascot station.

The bus leaves every 20mins from 4 past the hour (0904, 0924, 0944, etc). However the bus is 5-10mins late most of the time from my experience with it...

Personally, I'll be at the airport saying hi to everyone and then catching the 0924 bus to Mascot and then catching the 0947 train into Central. With the 0944 bus and 1002/1017 train being my backup.

Not sure about my plans but second breakfast in a lounge is a likely option.

To save about $4 break your journey domestic to central at mascot. Domestic to mascot should be $7.40, buy a new ticket at mascot to central for about $3.60. It is a 15-20 minute walk domestic to mascot for a $12 saving.

That's what we're doing :):):)

Would a taxi work out to be cheaper if there are enough of us?

I'm assuming it's to Mascot?
It'd probably be about a $10 fare... but I'm not sure how the taxi drive will feel about that...

We'll have a bite to eat in The Lounge first then hoof it to Mascot station with plenty of time to spare.

If there's a guest spot to get me in I wouldn't mind walking with you guys :D
MMMMMM freee foooood. lol

Best you can hope for in a taxi to Central would be around the $30 mark - that's using O'Riordan st and no traffic.

I am starting to think a walk to Mascot and a train to Central may be the go given the departures is much later than originally indicated.

You have to be kidding that a 2.5km fare would cost $30!

I'm VA Gold and my +1 is Silver - I'll check if he has a free lounge entry remaining then I could guest you in...
The more the merrier on the walk to Mascot. (we've done the walk lots of times)

Don't worry about it. I'll be in for a walk anyway as that option seems to be gathering some steam.

Re: Airport Trains Saturday Morning

This is my 500th post on AFF! Another reason to celebrate on the train...

My ADL - SYD flight makes me Gold, happy to guest you in to VA (if I'm not already guessing AIRwin - not sure what his movements are).

I'll head to the VA lounge when I land too and I'll decide where to from there, prob just the train to central to Wooli Creek
