Dan Murphy's and Other Wine Deals

I have, as I said above the first transaction tracked, the second didn't. I made both purchases from the same computer 15 minutes apart and did not click on anything except on BWS site. I have also reactivated the cashback. It was a regular one - no special caps/conditions attached.

This is the reply - a standard copy and paste I suppose

Some codes, cashrewards are limited to one use per day. Cheers

Cloudwine:
  • Marius Symphony Shiraz 2012 $120 - GW97, equal highest ever with 2016
  • Marius Simpatico 2010 $99
Big Wow, I have a few of Rogers wine in my cellar and never paid anything like that! Lovely wines though.

It stinks because there's no way to prove you did the right things, unless you were savvy/fast enough to screen shot the "you're on way to cashback..." thingy that pops up.

Can you return the wine citing not receiving the cashback as the reason? It's a pretty big part of my rationale to when pulling the trigger.

I prefer to keep the wine even without the cashback. In their investigative process, they have asked for the tax invoice. BWS resends the tax invoice without the actual date in the form of email - case closed as they won't supply the actual purchase date.

Maybe you can take a screenshot under the "orders" part of your account? It shows the date and order #

I did - but they asked for an actual tax invoice. Try to reproduce yours. There is a little button that says "resend" the tax invoice and it sends just an email without the date on the invoice- so catch 22

After signing up to Shopback and having both the 1st 2 purchases not tracked, I've unregistered. You need to ph them to do so, but quick response.
Life is too short.

Indeed. My success rate is about 80% so I persevere. I treat it like a box of chocolates…. More to the point that they are not to be taken for granted when doing pricing - I treat it as bonus. Only In some cases like $30 cashback capped - I do monitor it closely and cancel the purchase if it doesn’t track on the day,

Re: Signature, would the cork give any clues? I know I've seen at least vintage on corks for upper end wines before. Sometimes more. :) No pressure @1erCru :) Based on my research, and posts on here, it's likely the Signature BUT tasting notes say 14.5% and stickers posted here say 14.0%. So I'm going to say an adjusted Yalumba export version that is not quite the Signature.
It looks like in HK - it is labeled as 14% 雅倫布調號設拉子2016
(spoke to a mate who works in Hong Kong). I would imagine it would be the same in mainland China.

Did you end up getting any @olympicwiz and if so, have you tried it yet? Keen for your thoughts?
Unfortunately the box was delivered to my old office in the city. I forgot that I had an account with them from ages ago (thought they would deliver to my PayPal address at home). One of my laconic friends tried it on the weekend and said "is good". I am looking forward to trying it myself!

On something a bit different, Wild Duck Creek are closing their allocations requests this Friday 4th of June.

I tweaked my allocation request to include some of their cheaper wines.

For example their $20 Yellow Hammer Hill Shiraz Malbec Cab got over rating 4 on Vivino - which is a bargain I think. (unfortunate name - I know)

Sorry no stackings cashbacks and discounts for sixers!

Looking forward to tasting them and glad to be supporting an Australian small local independent wine maker.

Dandelion are doing their usual EOFY mystery dozen deals. I'm tempted but don't want a case of whites (although their rieslings are very good). Does anyone have previous experiences that they are willing to share?
