That was moar or less my reaction too!
I got the offer, so maybe WPs with no recent flights was one of the criteria considered for the offer? Makes sense if it was.
Hope you guys get your double SCs posted automatically without a "fight" with QF...what a hassle! I'm still fighting for my partner's double SCs to be posted:evil:
Got my first one email and duly booked SYD-MEL-HBA-SYD-CBR-SYD for another Hobart Express JASA

I just got off the phone with Platnium services. The offer was only given to members who have low permanent status ratings. Suffice to say I voiced my opinion the rest of us who stand up to corporate policies and high prices to support Qantas may take this as a slap in the face and surmise we are not valued members of the Qantas FF program.
Has anyone in this blog trail spoken to anyone in Qantas and received a slightly more positive response?
As a relatively conservative general observer of blogs as opposed to contributor I am really ready to vent.

Sounds like BS to me. What is a permanent status rating? I've been NB for 15 years and WP for 1.5 years. Surely that would make my permanent status pretty low. Or does being about 30% of LTG make it not as low?
No love for me from QF, I have already qualified WP until May 2012 but it would have been nice to to aim for PG and add to my lifetime status tally
Some of us have never had such an offer .... feeling unloved - perhaps the feeling is mutualI dont think anyone has got the double dom SC invite twice in the last three years for the April/May promo, I suspect the pool of status pax was divided up for targeting during a particular year some time ago!
PSR = Lifetime SCs divided by years a member of the program to get an average membership level, it clearly exists and explains why some get status renewed without asking/explaining future plans, when you get SG renewed on 120SCs that way its clear this is how QF look at lifetime value, how they reward it is another subject all together. 12000 SCs over 14 years is averaging above the SG qual so it makes sense.
I got this offer yesterday and was wondering a few things:
Any advice would be most appreciated! I should make it to WP on the final leg of the flight back from Nice in June, but it would be lovely to get there earlier
- I have a flight booked in J (actually I) SYD-LHR-NCE-LHR-SYD in June - what would I need to do to 'rebook' this and get the double SCs?
- I'm flying back to SYD from PVG in J (full) on Saturday - I'm guessing it would be impossible to get double SCs on this? Does a flight change count - I could potentially change to go back via Hong Kong if that would count
- My anniversary date is July 31st. If I earn double SCs at the end of June and they take six weeks to post, will they be counted in this year or next year?
