Double Status Credits are back

Someone want to dissect this with their IT skills? For what I can't tell, I don't know if the page actually 'sends' QF any messages, or it's just a splash page with replaceable parameters.

Call me a doubter but I think that its simply a splash/result page and it doesn't send anything to QF to mark your account as enrolled.

Good luck to those who have the offer and for those who 'snuck' their way in (if it works).

I'm still waiting for my email...

You guys do know QF read these posts, right?

I'd hate to see you guys lose everything if they decide this is 'hacking' and not using your account properly.

I would certainly debate this with QF. I would be ok with not getting the SCs as I wasn't targetted but I have done nothing deceitful.

There must be something done to collate the registrations...

I agree, its nothing like the link I got which I have modified, you should get the option to confirm your participation then get the screen everybody is seeing:

eservices - Opt-out Confirmation

Interesting, I just tried your link, and got an "Opt out" confirmation page (with errors). The Opt-out bit is on the tab in IE and also on the title bar when the tab is active. Error inside the page about the server being temporarily unavailable.

Probably because I modded the link with the removal of half the info, the server cannot understand what it is now. The original link contains no clear text name or FF number, I think its safe to say its targeted!

Out of curiosity - how / when do they show up in the FF statement? Delayed until the end of the period or immediately?

Has anyone tried registering frequent flyer number 9999999 with name of DOUBTFUL?

When you use the voucher, doesn't the "voucher" booking get "updated" with the new flight details, but that doesn't change the booking date (it remains as the original one)? So it still doesn't fall under the new rules?

It keeps the reference, but you still get a new itinerary and the ticketing number (081-X) and date change (at least for fares booked in Y/D/J).

If they the ticketing date then they could be eligible. If it's the original booking date, then they may not be.

In any case, whatever will be will be. Even though the fares are fully refundable I'm not going to go through the hassles of refunding the vouchers and then booking again. If extra SCs turn up then great, if they don't then no big deal :)

Same here - the link I was sent to register my acceptance of the offer is not in plain text and does not contain my frequent flyer account number or name in any form that I can decipher.

So much for silly ways of trying to trick the system.

I hope that webpage is just a splash page and nothing was sent to QF.

Well re is an interesting one. i haven't received an email yet, however before i was logged onto my QF account and i clicked on the dummy link and it registered me, without substituting my FF number and name.

when i then added those details in it said I was already registered! I am flying next week so i will see how it goes. although that flight was booked last week.

Usually all URL requests are logged somewhere (they make boring reading though!)

I got it too. Funny thing is they already comped me Platinum for another year (thru April 2011) even though I'm only on 650 SCs!!!

So now, if I can get a biz class return to London sometime in May or June, I'm Plat thru April 2012! Awesome!

Would be cool if I earned double SC’s, might have a shot at Gold, but not going to book future travel based on this ;)

Directly from the T&C's that came with my offer:

QFF said:
Extra Status credits will be awarded within 6 weeks of completed travel.
What will be intersting is how they show them - lumped together as one amount, or separately shown?

There must be some form of logging / access to a database for the response screens.
Note the difference in bold text below.

Assume the system doesn't send a confirmed email (eg like SPG/ HHonors)
