Double status credits email - window missed

Hi. Like a few people here I have been holding out on making some bookings in case that elusive email arrived. My renewal is on June 30, so if the "3 month out" rule applies it seems that I will not be the recipient of this bit of generosity from Qantas this year. Has anybody else with late June anniversaries received an email or should I hold off for a few more days just in case?

It might Be a two month window now as I got an offer last month and my year ends this month.

Ok Mr FM has it and Master FM who is bronze, but still nothing for me. I am starting to think Qantas hates me

yay mine has just come through - we only have one trip planned for this period that is still to be booked, but still nice . I don't need it to requal as platinum, but will help the LTG goal.

I got one too - requalification for me is end of April - I could either try to get to 2400SC this year or use it to launch me into WP from 1 May which I think is prob better. Only shame is I'm taking the family to BKK on an ASA in May, shame it doesn't count for that.


I love though that you can book and fly up to 30 June. Plenty of time to use it.

I'm P1 with FF Year expiring end of May. Currently sitting on 2350 status points. As of yet no double status points promotion. I've got approx 650 worth of flights planned up to May 30. Also have at least 3,000 worth of status planned between June 1, 2013 - January 2014. I've met P1 qualifying requirements for the last two consecutive status years.

I realise this is a targeted promotion but it seems bizarre that QANTAS would want to entice people to fly more, but yet not secure those who generally fly most. I'm happy to continue flying with Qantas but equally, if for some reason, I don't re qualify for P1 or I'm dropped back to Platinum, I will use other carriers.

Congratulations to all those lucky people who have received the offer. I'm not particularly phased either way but the whole "targeting" aspect does interest me. What do people thing in general and in particular of my predicament

I received one too. Have got a few flights booked for April already so this will do nicely for May/June flights. My status reassessment date is November 2013.

Just have one small but unusual query. I have the Fly Free voucher which was given by Qantas following the grounding of the fleet in October 2011 that I am still yet to use. If I choose to book a flight using the said voucher, would it qualify as a 'new booking' and thus eligible for the DSC offer. If so, I will use it to book a longish domestic flight to make the most out of it.

I got it today as well (member year ends 31 July) and am massively underwhelmed. I have 2 J trips to NZ in May booked, as well as J to Brisbane and J to Melbourne next week, and did Canberra today. Though I don't know why I feel dudded, After the seconfd NZ trip on 8 May, I'm only 120 pts from WP anyway. I guess it will save me one flight before reaching WP!

Just noticed the e-mail gives me the points and SCs I had during the period 18-26 March. (My last activity on 28 March).

I know these e-mail campaigns are prepared in advance, but I would have thought those computer thingys could call up the current SCs and points and change the relevant words 'reach Platinum' Vs 'reach Platinum One' during the day of send.

Just got one today, valid until end of June 30 which is my requalification.

I've already requalified for WP, but I'm too far off P1 to go for it, and I've already booked two international trips before June 30, so it won't apply to those unfortunately. Pity, one's in J to London so the double SC's would've been getting me close to P1.

I get the feeling they just gave it to me to mess with my mind but I don't think P1's a good enough carrot to go out of my way to get. Probably gets me a tiny bit closer to LTG, but that's about it.

They really seem to be throwing these things around quite freely aren't they.

Unfortunately i haven't received the email. Curious - is there something in the frequent flyer profile that needs to be checked/unchecked? I have every promo box checked to receive email from Qantas except for Partner travel.

Personally didn't get the DSC email today, though many of my work colleagues did. Unfortunately our travel admins booked most of our work flights over the last few days for up until mid June. No cigar for them.

Funnily, I received a Qantas email today telling me that I'm getting close to P1 status. As if I didn't know
"Congratulations, you are nearing a very special milestone, Platinum One. As you fly so often, we know that for you travel is more than just flying to a destination. For frequent travellers, it's the whole experience that makes your journey such a pleasure."...Blah blah blah....

We don't usually get them, but did this time. I didn't change anything in my profile. Seems to be a bit random. We got offers for 4 of us, with the only thing in common our membership date. Otherwise we ranged from a bronze who hasn't flown much for the last 5 years, to a platinum who has hardly flown in the last 8 months, to 2 platinums who already have 500 status credits and another 500 booked.....No commonality at all!

Only if you cancel existing bookings and hang on to credit for future travel and make new bookings for the double SCs promotion period.

I got the offer renewel is 01 September and I have 2000SC also this is my third double SC offer in 6 months.

By the time I got to this post, I had to check my spam box and .... nothing in there apart from the usual enlargement medicine offers and free police reports

But I still have 3 months to go.

Only need a paltry 90 SCs so probably QF fairy thinks I am not deserving of any this year !!!

It would be a slight waste on me, really.
