Apologies if this has already been answered but as you can imagine there are maaaany threads on AFF concerning double status credits....

For the double status credit promotion that is running to accept bookings before June 30 2012 with travel prior to the end of August, has anyone noticed they have received double SCs for either JQ or 3K flights?

You should only be receiving them for QF flight numbers of course.

Damn I didn't know I have the double sC offer. After planned flights I only need 100 SC -?90 - for Plat by end June. With my points that should be doable. If my wife books an ASA for me with her points I guess I get the SCs. Melb-SYD-Qld somewhere on JaSa will do it I assume

Re: Best Status Run Options - A quick overview!

Just booked MEL-xSYD-ASP for June 2nd as I just received the double SC offer via email today. Thanks very much for the info guys, I was very much contemplating not pursuing both QF and VA platinum this year, but this has made it a bit easier.

I might see you on one of those flights - I am doing a JASA on Syd-Mel-ASP-Syd-Bris-Syd on Saturday 2 June - wonder if any flights coincide :)

Really you received the Double SC offer today ?

I got excited when I read this and checked my "Qantas" email folder, which showed 2 x new emails... But only spam for Woolworths EDRs :(

I got it today but it said "thanks for registering and here is a reminder" ??

Maybe I got it but before my last trip had given up any idea of getting to SG let alone higher

Re: Best Status Run Options - A quick overview!

Just a prod to get a few more flights I guess.

Was hoping I'd be targeted for it!

Same here - they are really pushing it - if their system had any intelligence it would see I have flown some legs already and have a couple of trips booked already, that will take me to WP thanks to the double SC offer. Not sure what else they are expecting of me

If you are on QF791 on June 2nd, then yes you will see me ;)

Qantas Double Status Credits...

Yes, yet another thread about double status credits. Well, this is more of a question for those who know more about it than me.

I received the offer today, including the line ..."when you register, book and travel from April through June 2012"
Apart from the "April" part of that sentence which made me , the other thing I was curious about was the "book" part. The company I work for books my flights (without my FF#); I generally just rock up to the airport, add my FF# to the booking, then go on my merry way.

[I suspect that this might also be part of the reason I received the offer, at the start of the year my company stopped adding my FF# to the booking so there has been a huge drop off in my booking activity]

My question is:
Knowing that it's my name on the booking and my FF# gets added before I fly, will I still benefit from the double status credits even though it is my office booking the flights?

Thanks!

Re: Qantas Double Status Credits...

I got the mail today also, and my flying has been more often than previous this last half year. I take it to read any flights taken within the period specified so long as you registered for it. (I tried registering this morning still dont have the confirmation email). WHat I'm not sure about is a J Syd-LAX trip I booked about a month ago, but will be taekn during the period stated. Do I get double SC for this ?

Re: Qantas Double Status Credits...

Any ideas what is required to get access to the double SC promotion?

Yes you will get the DSC as long as the flights were booked within the correct period.

Re: Qantas Double Status Credits...

Note that this isn't a new offer, it's a reminder for people who were originally offered the double SC's. I got the same email, and it was purely a 'hey you! book more!' email.

*mods, probably best to merge this with the other double SC thread*

Re: Qantas Double Status Credits...

@Yo yo ma: Cool, thanks for your help.
@drewbles: I don't remember getting an email about this before, but maybe I just missed it. Thanks

Indeed I am - see you in the lounge...
Fortunately I am coming in from Melb QF796 so I wont have the staff asking me why I came in on the earlier flight ex Sydney
Bring on the champers...
