Additionally, she then asked more about my EDR issue of no points and too much fuel vouchers and said she'd pass that on, and thought the more that left feedback, the quicker something would change. She understood the issue of having too many fuel vouchers though, and I think handled the situation very well.

Very pleased with the response!

While all that is a great feel-good moment, Woolies couldn't care less about what customers think it's all about revenue

I complained about some bad service at Kmart, reported it online, regional manger called, heard me out, apologised and gave me a $50 giftcard!

Just a tad different to changing the rewards program of EDR :p

It changed from lots of bonus points offers to fuel offers for a reason and it hasn't changed back!

Yes if collectively complain and collectively take our business elsewhere, EDR will have to listen! ;)

They wanted details on the date, and really did want to get to the bottom of the customer service issue.

However I agree the manager can't do much about EDR, but the difference between asking, listening and saying you'll pass it on, and not doing anything at all is pretty big. Lots of companies probably wouldn't respond, wouldn't care. Which company would you choose?

I guess that's a Tiger/Jetstar or Virgin/Qantas thing... most would go for the service.

Again it's simply a feel-good thing to make you feel-good, which it has

I am sure your feedback was appropriately "filed"

A few hundred people taking their business elsewhere because of the lack of QFF offers is tiny compared to the queues of people lined up to save 8 cents a litre on petrol

Yes as I posted quite a few pages back, the EDR points gravy train seems to have ended.

On average points are a lot harder to earn at present, or at least a lot harder to earn if you are trying to achieve an out-performance. EDR is just part of the current points drought. The one that really hurts though is the dramatic decline in various Amex Promos.

Yep, but in my case, the fuel email (6cpl for $30 fresh food) was the first email I got from them in over 6 months!

Agree totally

Yes, most people are heading to Coles for the easily attainable 8c voucher for $30 with no stupid restrictions... ;)

I'm not sure why you have to sh¡t on feel good stories?

And not that I'm particularly bothered much past this, but what proof do you have that they actually didn't do anything with the feedback. Do you work for Woolworths and know for a fact, that this sort of feedback isn't used, or were you the lady I spoke to on the phone yesterday evening? Because unless you were/are those things, you know just as much as me, and don't really need to be shooting everything down.

Schadenfreude much?

So tempted to open that silver envelope

You totally should, if for any reason you end up shopping there, you'd be silly missing out on points you have 'earned', whether you ever get to use them or not.

Same. I've only used *my* EDR card thrice now :P

I have ordered $2,000 of Coles Gift cards from National Seniors for $1,902 and that takes a couple of weeks. Of course I paid on the Woolies EDRCC !
Coles gift cards are nowhere near as good as Wish gift cards from Woolies and their Fly Buy points are close to useless for us.
My local IGA is really pretty good so I prefer to support the local store seeing they are listening.
