Multiple bonus offers for the Wilson family this week :D:

Me -

300

bonus

points

When you buy any case of beer over this week

plus another:
Double points

Receive 2 Qantas Frequent Flyer points per dollar spent over $30 in one transaction

Mrs LW got:

Simply shop at any 2 Woolworths group stores including Woolworths supermarkets, BWS, BIG W or Dick Smith before 22 January and we'll give you 100 bonus Qantas Frequent Flyer points - no minimum spend!

So looks like I'll make multiple purchases at BWS tonight (beer on my card, something else on Mrs LW's) and then look for a Big W or Woolies on my trip to CBR this week to use both cards again.

Another successful harvesting week for the Shintaro Clan again this week (Seems that 2011 was the year for single offer and the occasional double offer, however from the start of 2012 it seems the norm for multiple offers per member....Perhaps QFF points have become cheaper to Woolworths)

This weeks offers: -

Me: (1 offer)
 1. 2x QFF Points for all purchases over $30
Mrs Shintaro: (3 offers)
 1. 2x QFF Points for all purchases over $30
 2. Boost your points When you buy any Granulated or Freeze Dried coffee jar over this week (1 Jar 50 QFF; 2 Jars 100 QFF; 3 or more Jars 300 QFF)
 3. 300 bonus points When you buy any case of beer over this week
Junior Clan Member #3: (1 offer)
 1. Boost your points When you spend $50 or more over this week ($50-$99 200 QFF; $100-$149 300 QFF; $150 or more 500 QFF)
Junior Clan Members #1 & #2 - (0 offers)

Interesting facts:
 • Inbox getting hammered with offers compared with last year (twice as many offers than last year average)
 • Junior Clan members #1 & #2 rarely getting EDR Love
 • Junior Clan member #3 Getting lots of action with minimal spending (Only scanning barcode to redeem bonus offers)

Someone here mentioned that perhaps Woolworths were offered cheap QFF points recently....wonder if this is why so many more offers than last year, anyone else seeing the dramatic increase in offers...?

I could never remember the difference between stationary / stationery but have been corrected so many times by my wife (who is an English teacher)... think of stationery as in pen:).
and stationary as in car

Looks like they think Big W will have some good revenue numbers this week ;)

Done my research. There is a Big W (in the Canberra Centre), within easy walking distance of our hotel and a BWS near one of my clients I'm visiting tomorrow. Might have to get a couple of bottles of red wine for my wife and M-i-L this week (assuming Crowne Plaza don't supply one - but that won't last tonight ;) - haha)

Bonus points here we come

Just wish I had got to my local on friday while they still had the iPAD stands in stock for $29 instead of $99 grrrr

I also got a double points at Big W offer and bonus points/fuel savings at levels about a $180 spend. I’m not sure if WW has worked it out yet, but the spend goes up over holiday times as my parents are here… but I couldn’t get through ~$200 food a week if my life depended on it.

So yet more points I wont be making.

Oh no. I got another BWS offer - 250 points for buying 4 bottles of 750ml wine.

Same here.

At least my liver will get a break from the almost continuous spirits offers that seemed to have come my way.

Only one offer for our household this week but a good one.

JohnK's mother, we miss you, so choose your reward.

Is there anything you can buy that you regularly use that you can freeze or store for a few weeks? e.g. I find that I go through a jar of face moisturiser every few months and even if I have just opened a jar having a spare pot doesn't go to waste. I am not suggesting that you should change your buying habits b/c then the offer is just wasting cold hard $$$ for points but if you look through your cupboards is there anything you can buy that you do use that won't expire any time soon?

Just a thought.

I’m told I can stock up on baked beans! :p

Toilet paper is always a good one.

Sadly for me, I bought about a hundred rolls at Big W last year and am no where near through using them all. Was very cheap though!

LOL! In summer I eat a lot of tinned tuna (for work lunches) so I go the tuna route  (in winter it is soup). I just check the use by date and make sure the tins aren't damaged. Cup a soup, two-minute noodles, fresh chicken breast by the kilo - I make a big stash of curry (or something similar) put it in plastic boxes and freeze so it is ready to eat for a quick dinner/lunch. Moisturiser, cotton buds/balls, deodorant (check use by), feminine hygiene products (if you are female), soap, shampoo, conditioner, vitamin supplements.

Re: EDR General Promotions

Thinking that means I can make 2 separate transactions, and I am getting low on that front, but I’m also happy (while I’ve been complaining) as I’m poor… :p

mine is 300 bonus for any ONE case buy - redeemable only once.

why waste money on Vitamin supplements?? just makes for expensive wee

Mine is redeemable only once too, but I have to buy 2 cases and the wording of it, "over a week", makes me think I don’t have to buy both cases in the same transaction. That seems odd to me.

Why would you buy in separate transactions and have 2x$30 exclusions, rather than buying both at once.

That's a loss of 30 FF points through EDR - there wouldn't be any loss through use of CC as it would be the same $ spent

And in the same trip home, filled up with 55 litres using my 30c per litre voucher. As I have converted my fuel discounts to QFF points, I think that is 55 x 15 = 825 QFF Points (plus the 114 points through Amex).

Now to consider whether I switch back to fuel discounts, or is [4 x 55] + 1.5x $spend per fuel stop, better?
