EDR Targeted Bonus Point Promotions

You know WW and Coles prices are getting ridiculous when premium beers cost less then local beers.

Was looking at some old credit statements (2009) and saw 2 cases of local beer on special (VB/Carlton Draught/MB) cost $66, whereas now they cost 2 for $74. Not to mention the alcohol percentage for CUB beers has been decreasing in the last couple of years.

I wonder how much the automatic half yearly tax indexation has to do with all this and then we have the bloody greens wanting more tax on alcohol!

My offers this week

100 bonus points no min spend on fresh fruit & veg at WW
200 bonus points for spend $20 on confectionery at Big W.

The good & the evil :mrgreen:

I think they hope that people like us will focus on the points to be earnt rather than the price paid. Pity for them they are wrong. !
You would be surprised how many people simply concentrate on earning points without thinking about how much they spend to earn those points.

Live and learn....

And not just in dollars. I was tempted to spend the $20 on chocolate for 200 points but I decided my hips do not need to be carrying all those extra calories. :D

Today I go and get my grape (or apple if I am feeling generous) to take advantage of my 100 QFF offer for any spend on fresh fruit and vegetables

Seriously thinking about the 1 grape option which will cost around $0.05 and earn a quick 100 QFF (Yield $0.0005 per point :lol:) Not sure if 1 grape would register on the self serve scales

Pity it is limited to a single use only :(

On March 30 I received 50 points for TS Smkt No contact offer. I have no idea why I received these points but I would be interested to hear of other recipients and the source of the points.

You know WW and Coles prices are getting ridiculous when premium beers cost less then local beers.

A visit to Daniel Murphy yesterday secured me 24 x 500ml Imported Becks cans @ $54 or $4.50/litre, sure no EDR/QFF other than via the credit card spend but when I looked at beer prices in Woolworths Liquor who had 24 x 330ml Hahn Super dry bottles for $51 or $6.44/litre

Even more surprising that TED's can be got for $39 a carton or $4.71/litre

Tough times if you are a super dry drinker I guess...!

We also got this and I believe it relates to a "double points" offer, with the offer posting approx 1 week after the qualify spend...

I'm going to set up a spreadsheet to track the points and bonus points as the week+ delay is frustrating.

I also got that, and was curious but the double points idea seems most plausible.

I just checked my account and these are the 2 latest transactions. I have no idea what either of them refer to. Anyone else know?

I wonder if they are giving out free bonus points (not part of the weekly offers) at the end of each quarter in 2012. Who's going to be the first to pose the question to EDR CS?

Maybe they should give them out to the heading bonus point collectors? :D

Lying here in the Mt Cootha Botanical Gardens, drinking and eating the fruits of my shopping labour this week...life is good.

Got to love it...another 2000 bonus points this week on $360 spend...so $3600 earns 3240 QFF and 1080 MR points.

Everyday rewards has been very lucrative this last quarter and looking at my statements I am averaging 4.5 QFF points per $ spent. :) on top of my MR earn.

Only 2 offers this week :( and both mine:

Tiered BWS offer (50 pts for $30 to $49; 100 pts for $49 to $99; 200 pts for $99+)
Tiered WOW offer (150 pts for $200 to $229; 200 pts for $230 to $249; 300 pts for $250)

Totally underwhelming so looks like a low bonus point take up this week :o

Lindsay. it may not be worth the effort and who knows, if you ignore this one the next one or more likely, the one after will be more enticing.

As I failed to buy $10 of fruit and veg last week there are no offers this week
