Everyday Rewards Qantas Credit Card

My partner applied for this card on 15th March, received a call from them on the 19th requesting a faxed copy of a payslip, which was sent on the 20th. Yesterday (23rd) he missed a call from the call centre asking them to call in regards to his application, but could not return the call because of their opening hours (AEDT 8-6, we're in WA so they had already closed by the time he finished work).
Do you think that this would be in regards to an ID check? We have a letter from them with the application number, I used to work at Woolies not that long ago so I know people who could do the ID Check for him/would know how to do it.

Obviously he will call them back monday but am just curious as to what the next stage in the process typically is?

Thanks :)

FYI - it was just to provide a drivers licence. Why can't they just ask for everything all in one go? Or at least leave a voicemail message for something that simple!

Just noticed this on this months statement "QANTAS FREQUENT FLYER POINTS EARNT THIS PERIOD "

Spent approx $6K on this card this month, will be keen to se what points post to QFF....if any

Feeling guilty here for loading up my card on yet another PAYG & GST payment to the ATO tonight...

Lucky the guilt is only short lived and in the morning, it will just show up as another "purchase" on this card...:p

They moved my credit card limit up to $25k so I guess I have not been doing anything outside rules 1 to 2,500.
This card helped me do a BA first run from LAX to LHR and then a run home to Perth in best available.
i am feeling warm inside!

Does anyone know how long an additional cardholder application should take? It was sent off 10 days ago, no response at all...

Funny thing. I got my card in about 7-10 days. No request for anything, just "here's your card". No ID check, no payslips, etc.

I then did an additional card holder application for Mrs VC, and got a letter back in about 2 weeks saying she has to front up to a Woolies with ID to be verified before they will issue the card. Sigh.

I went through the same thing. Nothing for me, but an ID check for the supp card.

Typical of the cack-handed administration of this card. Mrs Plinge didn't have to produce ID for her Amex card.

And every time I log on I am reminded how bad the website site is. Three items to be entered each time whereas Amex and CBA remember your user name and require just a password.

I rang them today, apparently a letter had been sent regarding the ID check. I just walked into a store and asked if they could do it without the letter, done within 5 minutes and that was with the person teaching someone else how to do the check.

Was a bit worried when I got home today to find a letter from Everyday Rewards Credit Card, I must admit I thought I was toast and they were closing my account as some have reported here in the past, when they got caught out using this card for business expenses...

But alas, I'm still in the club :lol:

The letter was an apology for not including the points total earn't from last months statement as I reported here http://www.australianfrequentflyer....-qantas-credit-card-26079-111.html#post594469

I was not concerned since the points showed up on QFF on time and correct, but still, every time I get a letter from this mob, I get a little worried that my luck has run out...

It took SWMBO an hour to do the ID check at Woolies because she doesn't have a driver's licence and passport and bank statement didn't compute.

Still waiting for my first statement but the points have appeared. :D

I had to call yesterday as my brand new card wasn't working at non-paypass terminals. Went through the prompts and eventually got to an operator, he said that the card wasn't activated and was extremely concerned that the paypass transactions had gone through.

Also I am dreading making a call re the 20,000 points that I am pretty sure won't post on their own.

Surprised to have my B-Pay payment made yesterday (Last day to pay) appear on my QEDRCC account today, so B-Payments have certainly sped up on this card.

And I thought I was going to have a fight on my hands for a late payment, as has been discussed here in the past. Happy with the improvement made with this...

Edit: Payment showed up as being made yesterday (The day I instigated the B-Pay payment) So Payment shown as same day as payment request.
