I wasn't flying, but sitting in IKEA Springwood's Cafe on Saturday with the family having lunch, when Andrew Winter walked pastwith his wife. Thought it was funny that he was shopping in IKEA :D

;) My wife wanted me to chase after him and ask whether Charlie Alibone could come and landscape our back yard (well, I'm sure she has other reasons as well....:D).

And I also wasn't flying, just walking, but whom should I see in the Bridge to Brisbane yesterday, but the famous anat0l. It was wonderful to discuss matters of interest to AFF'ers whilst puffing and sweating to the Ekka finish. The famous people you meet...

I still maintain that I am not famous! :D

Well again not flying but for about a minute yesterday in the Kremlin I was standing next to Dimitry Medvedev. We were walking with a large Russian sporting team-I have no idea what sport-when a large black mercedes drew up,driver and security hopped out then the back door opened and out hopped Dimitry.I was alongside the merc at the time but he decided I was obviously not part of the team management.

Lucky you weren't considered a theat to a National Treasure and shoved into the black Mercedes and whisked off somewhere for a spot of interrogation for which the Russians were famous

Sat in front (and across the aisle) from Peter Beattie last Friday on QF539 BNE-SYD. I tihnk he'd been bumped from QF533, which seemed to be AWOL (last departure time I saw for it was about 6 hrs late).

Maybe 6 weeks ago I saw Matt Preston in the SYD T2 QP. Shook his hand :)
He was nibbling on some bar snacks if anyone was wondering.

Man, he's a big man.

And I remember the furore that was created (storm in teacup) when it was suggested that he need the assistance of The Biggest Loser's Personal Trainers...

I'm surprised he was eating trail mix. He'd probably pass judgement on it....(too salty, dry, etc)

I hadn't heard of any recent use, so presumed they had discontinued the practice . Maybe not

I wouldn't provoke a visit from the FSB. The Cold War might be over, but there is still a huge domestic and foreign Intelligence/security infrastructure which includes, I'm sure, a considerable fleet of heavily-armoured S600's.

Hehe, I was very tempted to ask what he thought of the food :)

He's just a man mountain. Tall, and, well, just big!

Saw Andrew Bogut on SYD-MEL recently. Was a bit surprised he wasn't at least with the Aus team at the current World Champs. I guess he still isn't over his horrible injury yet.

He was in J, and even with the extra pitch, he just squeezed himself in. He's a big boy, with impressive wing span!
