Paying for past sins? ;)

Wife had x-ray and urine test today. Doctor says nothing wrong and is normal to experience pain and bleeding for a couple of months after stent. Has asked wife to relax more with lots of bed rest, drink plenty of water, cut out all medications apart from paracetamol.

Hoping everything settles down eventually!! Sorry its been a palava in an otherwise happy time!

Good news then. :)
Maybe now your wife knows it is normal it will be easier for her to relax and rest.

Not your fault. It's been a difficult year but just looking at my daughter right now whilst relaxing in the village and more than I could ever wish to have.

She's feeling much better but still in some pain. She seems to be more comfortable when I am around.

Just a note: cutting out all medicines would include traditional and herbal medicines too. Make sure she follows this, as sometimes so-called "natural" medicines can cause unforeseen problems.

Thanks. Only thing wife uses is menthol inhaler. I suspect that is fine.

Now 10 days into chemotherapy and only one possible side effect has shown - facial skin seems to be drier and a bit flaky on forehead, but that's probably age related. Hope the drug is working. Feel quite well and able to do things. Might be time to plan another holiday soon.

Glad to hear it! Best of luck for the cycles.

Thanx. This drug (Votrient ) is a continuous everyday treatment until, as I understand it, it either destroys the cancer cells, doesn't work any more or becomes toxic to the patient. I'm hoping for the first option. :)

All the best local Canberran. Hope to see you at a local event soon. :D

As promised, my results from the bone marrow test. Came back good apparently. My doctor now thinks it may be cyclic neutropenia as I seem to switch between low and high results often. Next blood test in 6 months.

I'll take your word for it Samh004. I have no idea what the report says - those words are far too big and technical
But glad it has come out OK.

Samh- good to see that has been excluded for you. I can see abnormal ANA and C3 - are they continuing to look for an auto immune issue? Neutropenia, ANA and C3 abnormalities are markers for that, along with a whole lot of other things - arthritis, skin stuff and so on.

Surgery tentatively scheduled post-AFF10 so I can be clear to fly for Christmas. Six years I've put this off.

Went to see the doctor to get a piece of skin cut off, it appears to be more than something just in the top layer so another piece of skin to be cut off.

This is not going to be fun.:(

Neither do I!

I think those were old notes, it's still somethong they're looking out for, but next test isn't for 6 months!

Have a lovely bruise on my back now though!!
