GOOD NEWS! Krisflyer Miles to be extended until 2023 [previously April 2022]

I have a similar "problem"

4,049,871
KrisFlyer miles
expiring within the next six months

I already have multiple F return flights booked - so there is no way I will be able to use my points, unless they continue with the extensions.
I may need to resort to using points less efficiently ( gift vouchers, hotels etc ) but hopefully can avoid this.
Pre Covid when I attained all my points, I would never had imagined that I would have difficulties using them within the 3/4 year limit.
I am now more conservative and am keeping most of my points at Amex (no time limit).

They will extend into 2023. You may have a paid extension left on them for another six to twelve months. You can then book travel almost a year ahead of time. So there may be almost three years left on their life. If all else fails and VA resurrects the transfers you could wash your points through Velocity. You’d halve the number of points but they would have new life.

4 million? Woah, I don't wanna know how you got those in 3 years! $$$

Holy smokes @daft009, can you send some of those my way please?

I can offer you... Maths textbooks and engaging tutoring sessions (and advice on watches).

Lucky you... Well done indeed!
thanks mate.
it was a "glitch in the matrix" that worked in my favour so I'm not bummed even if I have to pay to extend 12months.
I'm still way ahead.

Sent my dad yesterday to DEL in J.
our charity school in our ancestral village has finally reopened post-covid.
lots of kids (7-10yo) have left during the last 2yrs and just working on farms or the local road side tea stalls etc.
need to rally the parents to get them to come back to school to have some minimum education for their own long term betterment

now about to book my in-laws in J to CMB. lots of brownie points for me :D

Haha the next problem is, you'll have so many brownie points that you won't know what to do with them all (much like your initial trouble with an abundance of KF)!

You're a good man - sending your folks and in-laws in comfort on trips to the motherland. I can only hope to do the same one day :)
Maybe next time you could send your parents over in F/R onwards to DEL (given the A380 returning to the SIN-DEL and SIN-BOM routes)...

I bought my parents their first trip in F long haul a few years ago as a gift
And since then I've bought them 4x J tickets to various places due to birthdays, lack of cash fares...... at this rate I'm going to run out of points to use for myself!

Miles expiring between January and June 2023 will be automatically extended at the end of the expiry month, for six months. The new miles expiry date will only be reflected the month after the extension.

The KrisFlyer mile validity extensions have now come to an end. From the end of this month (July), unused miles will start to expire as per the usual 3-year policy.
I've just managed to use mine up...

Does anyone know that miles expiring in july 2023 = 31st july expiry date?

Ive got a heap expiring and need to decide when and where to use them
