Called Macq tonight. The call centre doesn't know what is going on except to say "their client service team is reviewing things currently... and that they can take down our email address to send us communications once they have something to send." There was no ETA on when these comms was going to be. So we're none the wiser just yet.
Our welcome pack does say "Annual Fee (primary & secondary holders) = $0 debited to you on first use of the card, and then on each anniversary of the date we first issued a card to you". So I interpret this as $0 for the life of the card which is better than the online advert that previously had said "free for the first year".
