What AMEX cards qualify for the refund? How does it work? I am thinking of a stay next month.

I’m almost certain I registered all our Amex cards. Both Amex direct and bank issued Amex. If I can find the original emails and links on my work pc I will post them here. I’ve also had amazing Langham hotel cash backs as well. Eg. Spend $300 get $150 back

Edit: My apologies. On my mobile and didn’t see the other posts. Seems the offer expired already.

so one could argue they are valid as it only talks about registering first, then completing nights during the promotion period.
Pretty sure thats the way it works. I booked for new Curio in Syd last month for a stay in Feb. I will get the bonus points

The offer has not expired, but it has been fully subscribed.

If you have previously managed to save the offer on to your card(s), then it is valid till 31 January 2018. If you haven’t already registered, then it is too late as the offer was capped at 50,000 cards and it appears this limit was reached some time ago.

I panicked when I read Serfty’s post as I just completed some stays at H-SYD last week, paid for with an Amex card of course and haven’t got my credits (yet).

Thanks for the prompt reply.

I have a few bookings to make next year but what if you booked before Jan 18 for Jan stay? Excluded?

thanks

With these promotions, generally those stays already booked still qualify.

The issue is explicitly covered in the FAQs.
Hilton Honors Points Unlimited Bonus Promotion - FAQ

If I already have a reservation, is it eligible for the promotion?
Yes, as long as the member is registered for the promotion prior to check-out of the stay and the reservation is for an eligible stay. Regardless of when a reservation was booked, any registered guests with nights within the Promotion Period will receive the promotion bonus.

Bugger bugger bugger - booked a prepaid rate and used my Hhonors CC not my Amex. Darn it!

No worries, I just didn’t want AFFers who’d already registered to use a different card and miss out on the generous Amex credit.

Apologies ... you are of course correct - while that is what I meant it is not what I wrote.

I have edited my post.

Just noticed:
MACQUARIE 2000 POINTS HOTEL STAY OFFER
2000 points

after my recent HSYD stay. Didn't get the same for stays a few weeks ago in China.

Does anyone have details on this promo?

Did you pay for that stay with a co-branded Macquarie Hilton CC? Probably a promo for Australian properties between Macquarie (Hilton) CC and Hilton hotels, you may have been automatically registered. Gift 2K points :D

Sure did. Would be nice to know how long it lasts for as considering a few stays in the next couple of months to take advantage of the Q1 promo.

Couldn't find anything on either the Macquarie site or Hilton - but there was a previous offer (early 2017) showing on a Google search. Perhaps a phone call to Hilton Honors CS would give you the details.

With the AMEX spend $400 get $120 back ending tomorrow, does anyone know if you can book two separate nights at the same property, both under $400 and receive the credit? It seems like this is possible, but was wondering if anyone has tried this previously?

  • Spend AU$400 or more at a single Hilton property to receive one AU$120 credit, with no more than one credit per Hilton property, up to a maximum of ten properties.
