Yes, dim sum on a lazy morning is one of my favourite things. (I won't mention the rest ;) )

Agreed. Its a few weeks off yet and there are now a few takers for Sunday morning dim sum by the looks of things so I am looking forward to it.:)

We have about 10 signed up for the yum cha, and I'll make the necessary arrangements. Keep in mind that it's a Chinese restaurant, so we can easily accommodate anyone who would like to join us last-minute as well - the staff will simply find a chair, bring utensils to the table, and then everyone shuffles a little to make space and we're done. :)

I am arriving in HKG at 1320. Is there a plan of attack for the lounges, so I know where to meet everyone? Assuming I am not the first there, that is.

Hi Jessica my plans have changed and I arrive at 1315 as well from BKK.

Well I was hoping you would be the tour leader in Japanese tour group style complete with uniform and umbrella for easy recognition. :)

I would do it but the only umbrella I would carry is in a coughtail lol

I arrive at 12.25, assuming on schedule. S'pose a logical thing for me to do would be to check the OW lounge opening times.

I am arriving ~1:30pm.

I plan to visit every lounge I can visit and consume an alcoholic drink in each lounge. I think there are about 8 lounges we can visit so roughly ~30 minutes in each lounge.

I'm expecting the yum cha contingent to arrive at around 1.30 - 2pm, depending on the queues at customs and security.

As for the lounges:

CX Pier F is closed, but J is still open, and opens till 11.30pm
CX Bridge is open all day till last departure
CX Cabin is the same.
CX Wing F is also the same.
CX Wing J likewise as well, although I was in there once at 4.30am.
KA G16 closes at midnight, but I'm not sure if it's actually worth the visit.
BA Lounge, not too sure what's happening there these days. Can't find opening hours information.
QF Lounge, open 3pm till midnight

For those on QF flights, the EK lounge opening hours are not posted on the website, but the first flight is about 6.30pm so it should be open from at least the mid-afternoon.
And as I'm flying on MH, I might still be able to access the Plaza Premium Lounge. Why would I do that? I don't know either. But it's open 24 hours, so if I'm too intoxicated, I can try to crash there for the night.

And for those arriving on Sun, if you're feeling adventurous, there is also the Arrival.

Thanks Awesom Andy, I reckon we meet at the Wing F at 2pm and move on from there.

And I think I had better visit the Arrival, just for completeness!

I suppose this is just before the AA DFW-HKG service starts, which apparently will result in the QF lounge opening from 10am.

Are we expecting any SG/OWS arriving by themselves?

We're 5 days early. The return leg starts 13 June.

Given quite a few will be departing on a QF flight, it probably make sense to make this the final stop. Flight announcements (and, God-forbid, delay/cancellation announcements) are worth their weight in gold.

EK lounge is open 19.30 - 00.30 according to the airport website. But as EK0383 leaves at 18.50 I think it must be wrong.

I think I will wait in Arrival until I see a familiar face :)

Are we clearing Immigration and then getting back through security and immigration again?

I might get a head start on the lounge crawl as soon as I arrive.

I have had a look at the CX website and it is not clear if the Arrivals lounge can be accessed if just transiting. Might have to play it by ear.

Edit: maybe plan B should be head for the CX Wing F lounge on arrival anyway.
