I'm feeling a bit sad ...[My SC's are getting wiped today... =( ]

Wasn't going to log into Qantas today but after seeing these posts I did log in and even though it is quite depressing to see your points go from 1600 odd to 0 I do not feel as bad as I thought I would - shared pain is easier to bear maybe.

Lost 710 today. Having said that, made it to SG for the first time with 2 days to spare. Rather intimidating to show that I now need 1,400 SC for WP. Would've much preferred a 600 figure to retain SG; much more feasible!

, did you grab the extra plat benefits or was it your first time to here?

I gifted partner gold to one of my work colleagues in Germany. She flies a few times a year to China and the US. Not quite enough to achieve any status with lounge access, but frequently enough to appreciate having lounge access when she can....

Mine were wiped as well, made it to WP, now showing 2,400 to get extra benefits with 0 earned. just as well I am flying again next week to start racking them back up

Lost 1880.
Having just made LTG, unlikely to make that many again!

1320 gone today, minimal chance of requalifying as WP this year.

I checked my balance a bit after 5:00 am and the SCs were still there, but gone now.

Does your status drop back immediately? I lost my SCs today, but still have Gold status. Will that disappear tomorrow?

Only if you didn't earn 600 SC for the requal. I'd say it just means you have until the 31st July 2013 to earn 600 SC to retain gold.

If your review date is still July 31 2012 it means that you have not requalified, nor have you had status 'comped'.

Anecdotes indicate your status will hang in there for a few days, a week at most before dropping.
