I'm feeling a bit sad ...[My SC's are getting wiped today... =( ]

Mr Katie said goodbye to 275 SCs today.
But he got a letter yesterday or Monday saying he's comped for another year.

And I'd been suggesting that Little Miss 5 (SG) could take him into the QP while I'm in the J/F lounge. ;) ;)

If your review date is still July 31 2012 it means that you have not requalified, nor have you had status 'comped'.

Anecdotes indicate your status will hang in there for a few days, a week at most before dropping.

That's interesting. Mine's still showing 31 Jul 12 reassessment date. But I knocked up exactly 1200 to retain WP (which are now gone) and the system is now showing the usual target to retain WP by 31 Jul 13. I suspect it will roll over to a 2013 reassessment overnight. Unless the tooth fairy brings a WP1 card?.....two chances.....

So, anniversary date is only a few days away now and a very interesting year it has been. Got off to a slow start and only just scraped in enough SC's to get a 5000 point bonus by November 30th but since then the travel has fairly rocketed along. Requalified for WP by the end of March, made LTG by the end of April, have collected all 4 x 8000 point bonuses and to cap it off finished up with 2475 SC's so received the 50,000 point bonus for that.:)
Furthermore, in between all the QF flying I also managed to retain WP on VA so a very busy year...I think I need a holiday now!!

Whilst not flying anywhere near the numbers you did, I can relate. Managed to comfortably keep WP and VA WP.

Mind you, I never need an excuse to a) jump on a plane or b) take a holiday ;)

My measly 180 points expired today and I've got enough flights booked in the next week and a bit to have gotten me to QF silver - would have been my first foray out of bronze ever and was looking forward to it having just started flying reasonably regularly this year. Is it worth using points to do a premium economy to business upgrade on a SYD-PER-SYD for a status credit boost to start my new year?

You only earn points / SC's for the class originally booked with such upgrades.
Posted on a wing and a prayer ...

If you haven't booked the flights yet, look at the possibility of using Points + Pay when booking a Business Any Seat Award (JASA). It can be a quite affordable way to travel in Business, with the bonus of Business Status Credits.

Can you get premium economy SYD -PER?

+1 to that...more than a week in the office and I start to get twitchy, even the family say "shouldnt you be going somewhere"!!

September 1 is a sad day...

One day you have 3,880 status credits the next day you have a big 0,

Without purchasing a single J ticket throughout the year, the majority were either Red E or Any Seat Award.

Must have been a few JASAs or with red edeals you must of been on a plane a hell of a lot! A very big year of travel :)

That's an awful lot of time in the back of planes

my 1580 and SWMBO's 1220 are getting wiped tonight :(

Good thing is we already have 1280 planned for next year

Chump change compared to most, but my highest ever year of SC earning just passed.

Goodbye 385sc!!
