Considering i'm QF platinum thru till Mar 2013 I thought they'd have matched that length. Boo.

This offer came a few months too late. I just did a big trip through Europe, and would have gladly thrown flights AF/KLM's way rather than BA.

Mine is 2013. How strange...

Any ideas what's coming in the membership pack? Just cards, or will I have a third Gold tag to hang off my cabin bag? (well four if you could the NGCI tag that I have on my laptop.... )

Status match approved 5 April. QFF renewal in march. So I get 2 Years for free woohoo!

I somehow missed this thread and have not applied for a status match. Will more than likely have a flight on KLM in early June and would have been nice to have lounge access but will have to do without for now.

I think you were away when it was on, and probably got back after it finished.

Also applied 30 March for status match to WP and haven't heard yet. I'm not too worried about the lack of response (yet), and it looks like by being the last to apply we may get an extra year of status.

31 March for me, got the acknowledgment and base (Ivory) membership details, but no more yet. I suppose (hope) it's just taking a bit of time due to numbers. The extra year if it eventuates will be good.

The thread may have started the week before I left and as you mention the cut-off for status match was while I was away.

Not to worry as I am not planning on too many KLM flights and I credit to Delta anyway.

Hmmm...I applied 31 Mar (nothing like cutting it fine ), and still Ivoire status. The Easter break has hopefully slowed things down a bit and the match will come through in the next few days (I hope).

Has anyone received their card yet? If so can you tell me what the phone number on the back of the plat card is? I've been on hold to AF for over 15 minutes, and that's after putting in my Flying Blue number...

For those who recently signed up and wanting to fly AF and ST, AF/KLM has a Buy Award Miles and Receive 30% bonus, upto a max. of 60,000 bought miles which will give 18,000 bonus.

There can be some relatively decent awards available, I was looking at a Europe to North America one way in business class and the miles start from 50,000 miles. (I can't find the award chart so I can't refer to it). To get 50,000 points under the promo, you buy 40K and receive 12,000 bonus miles which will cost a total of 1,000EUR (~AUD$1370).

I was trying to find longer routes and/or CDG-JFK vv which operates the 388 and could find business class awards quite readily available. For example I could fly IST-CDG-JFK(388) for 50K and taxes comes out around USD$300. So that's around $1670 for IST-JFK one way in business class. If I wanted to fly something longer IST-CDG-LAX for the same amount of points and similar taxes

Good to hear, I applied on the same day and haven't heard anything yet. I have 4 Delta flights in about 4 weeks time, and I really need the status match for the 2 free check bags, otherwise I'm (well the company is anyway) up for some ridiculous checked baggage fees.
