Why do some of my posts appear and then disappear and subsequently reappear on this thread? Does a post disappear temporarily if someone is quoting from it in a reply?
I regularly use a DOS window, and we still have one Dos PC left to run a few old programs. Those were the days .....Top of Page - Community Forums | Watched Threads.
The new forum software takes a bit of getting used to, but is a definite step up from the old clunky vBulletin (which is ~15yo - do you still use a 15yo PC with DOS 6.20?)
I am up to Win10, but stay in 32-bit with one of the work PCs as I likewise still use a DOS window and a program called Paradox, a database manager: I wrote all its scripts, didn't fall over in the Y2K "meltdown" - still runs my payroll, accounts payble and mailing lists. The default browsing mode has been changed on mine. I recommend people look at their account settings and check them.
My Explorer replacement (and SO MUCH more) is Directory Opus (highly recommended BTW). I select an image then click the down arrow on Properties | Edit Metadata then delete or alter metadata as required. There's a lot of info there..

But Google tells me "On Windows, right-click on a picture and choose Properties, then open the Details tab and click Remove Properties and Personal Information. You have the option to strip out some or all of the attached EXIF data, and you can create a a copy of the image file if you don't want to mess with the original."
