Nice wines I have drunk recently - Red or White

thoughts on the black label? i’ve stocked up on a few lately
It was 2001, so I'm not sure I could provide any beneficial information for you compared to current vintages.

It was at the end of its life, still good drinking tho. Decanted for an hour, but got better over time in the glass.
Chocolate, Vanilla, Dark Berries, Spice. (I'm not the best at describing)

I honestly was enjoying the Champagne too much 🍾

Which restaurant? Rococo?

Glad you didn’t go to Locale the most overpriced underdelivering place I have been in years!

La Vida

Not many options in Hastings St on a Monday night but we were happy with the food and service. Also close enough to our hotel for +1 to walk with high heels 😂

Mondays (and some Tuesdays) seem to be closed night and difficult to find open restaurants in Noose and NoosaVille!

Never tried La Vida - Rococo is always goods and great staff - if you have a bit of fun with the staff your experience level will go through the roof - the best nights we have there are up in Laguna Jacks - shoots load of fun with the kids up there - but prolly not suit the old fuddy duddies ;)

The Eileen Hardy 2016 was an amazing wine. Lots of recommendations to cellar for a few years but drinking now was still fabulous. Blackcurrant and chocolate in abundance to this (very amateur) palate.
The De Iulis Semillon was decent but paled in comparison

Theme last night was 100% Malbec. Snuck in a magnum of champagne to kick things off

PERfectly correct. 😜

It was a good night, with the wines from a wide geographic range.

Whoa, whoa, whoa. Lets back up a bit. A bit more qualifiation, judgement, reccommendation needed, please? I assume there were tasting notes taken, not just a chug-a-lug? A list, and maybe a score or go / no go,
