Who cares. the gap already filled by Virgin, especially with Lounge! But will they come back now????
so,JQ keep the lounge at OOL(pray)
It would be a shame for it to go.It will be good comp for JQ if DJ move a lounge in,keep them both on their toes.
Mind you, entry prices need to stay down,or I believe it will just backfire on them both.
Hmm, that's a rectangle 34 by 20 metres.A lot of discussion on this thread has been over where they are going to put a lounge, now we can discuss where the 680SQM lounge will be!

Well, I was in the neighbourhood so I popped in to see what all the hubba was about. It was indeed a bit of a fizzer. Borghetti gave a quick speech about launching business class flights from here starting December, and about the new business class lounge opening early next year. He also said that the lounge was going to be located above Hungry Jacks "with spectacular views of the tarmac". Not sure how that will work. Then the minister waffled on for a bit and I wandered off. There was a new plane on the tarmac and they were all going to do a little tour of the new seats.
Aha. So that's where it'll be... going back through posts to find the Hungry Jacks in a pic here somewhere..
I posted a pic of above hungry jacks a little while ago. I'll try and dig it up again.
Unless they modify the roof, this will defiantly not have views of the tarmac. It'll have a view of a poll and the curved roof.

The only real surprise for me was how short Borghetti was!

Or more to the point for those that understand area measurment, 1/4 the size of the JQ one
DJ 1D, I must have been standing right beside you during the press conference whilst waiting for boarding for my flight. He is a little fella isn't he. I was talking to a mate who works at the airport and he said they were going to go up through the existing roof to allow for the new glass frontage to over look the apron area. don't know anything about acces, etc at this stage but JB confirmed where it will be built and he did say opening early in the new year so I guess they will get cracking with construction pretty soon.
Knew it would have to be built above the shops. Cutting through the roof is a good idea.
I know he said Business Lounge but I think it will be the regular lounge as I doubt they will have a lounge open for only a maximum of 4 business pax per flight. It would be very empty and lonely for most of the day otherwise.
As for JB, small in stature, large in vision!
