Paris Suites!

Looking at these Paris photos and making me more excited for my first visit later this year. Although no fancy hotel or restaurants for us, our budget doesn't stretch that far (hopefully one day!).

Landed pretty refreshed with a good 8 hours sleep under the belt. The transit over to T5 was horrendous.... makes the bus run at SYD feel like a private transfer.

BA F lounge .... disappointing as always!

The OTT airport transfer.... it was a very nice ride with a personal greeting at the airbridge right through to closing the RR door.

Looks like a half decent jalopy ;)

The roast chook... this one was worthy of being taken around the room. Delicious

The chef (Allan Passard) took the time to visit every table and was very engaging and generous with his time.

In summary - all but two courses we found to be inventive, well presented and delicious.

Glad you enjoyed it mostly....... was either hit or miss for most......quite polarising
Yep, he can certainly do a roast! none of this sous vide stuff!

Great recommendation - thank you!

It was quite the surprise the vegetable courses could be that spectacular. The man deserves respect and the chance to prove "most" people wrong. We're very much in the carnivore camp, however his touch is amazing.

Your other suggestion was also a winner....

It was VE Day (Victory in Europe) - a public holiday in France. The security on the streets of Paris was overwhelming - shock and awe stuff.

When the parade was over the barriers came down and provided an excellent photo op

We even had snipers waiting for their Uber ride

Le mouvement des Gilets jaunes - no Paris TR is complete without an update. These Saturday only protests have been going on for something like 26 straight weeks. The only evidence that I could see was pointless and reckless damage on shopfronts. Looks like all businesses are copping the same treatment - large and small.

Some businesses have come up with a novel way to try and limit the damage a lowlife can cause with a hammer.

The frame is permanent and is boarded up exclusively for the Saturday idiot parade.

Love the photo of the 2 chairs in the foreground with the buildings - great depth of field. Jardin de Luxembourg?

Pavillon Ledoyen - Alléno Paris. 3* Michellin, #29 on the World's best 50 list.

The restaurant is located a few hundred metres from our hotel on the Champs-Élysées
